Could look like bendt cage on lower drivers side on Luky's Fiesta. Lets hope not.
Tough conditions for non-brits!!

@FIAERC Retweeted this reply re: Lukyanuk :(
@CircuitIreland I'm very sorry....but the car is too damaged to start the rally.
In better news... there will be live online coverage for the CoI 2016 ! :)

Very unfortunate Lukyanuk. It would be great seeing him on the slippery Ireland stages. Better luck on Acropolis!

Big call, given that every stage of WRC France has been broadcast live for quite a few years...
Good news:
"In addition, there will be coverage from drones and from in-car cameras as well as live pictures and commentary from the Ards TT stage which has proved so popular in the past."
Bad news:
Jon Desborough on comms.. :(
I had a look at the entry list again. 34 R5 cars and 4 S2000 cars. Without Lukyanuk that makes it 33 R5 cars, still a world record :)
I can't wait!
In the meantime - new car for Estonian driver Raul Jeets:

Great photo of Chris Ingram on recce in his new Opel Adam.. says 'stunning roads & scenery!'

Packing tonight ready to leave for Belfast tomorrow! Forecast looking rubbish, but stages and entry list more than make up for that :) maybe see some of you there!
Max Vatanen on recce says 'The stages are savage! This picture is taking in famous Torr Head. The Ouninpohja of Ireland?' ...

I'm guessing the Torr Head section of road is part of 'The Glens' stage (SS3). Going by this onboard from 2008 it does look pretty spectacular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prCyNPOz0s8
Yes, you are correct. Torr Head is second part of SS 3 (unfortunatelly not part of SS 5) and it is really nice part of stage on the north coast of the island. It will be very spectacular for helicopter of Eurosport.
Notice regarding this year - sometimes too many retarders (chicanes) on the stages...
Stage is run the opposite way that in the video!
According to Motorsport News only Evans, Breen and Cronin are candidates for the win?

As Sal says, MN are interested in the BRC and most of their readership will want to know about the British & Irish interest more than other guys.
Watching the UK weather forecast this morning and there's a big low pressure area coming in for N.Ireland on Friday... lots of rain and wind, followed by heavy showers on Saturday. :(
I have seen only part of SS 3. I have found retarders in some strange places, where it is really narrow to go normally and they put retarder there. But codriver told that on first stage there is almost 20 retarders... In roadbook I have found 9 chicanes. But it is very tight and sometimes with four parts, so very slow.
Itching to get there! Leave for the ferry at 5am! Should be a great rally!!
We will all be much wiser regarding who fastest soon, they could/should have added Katjo, Fisher, Bogie and Ahlin but the page would have looked cluttered. I'll wait till I read my copy before deciding that they didn't give the ERC runners fair coverage. Regarding the 3 they did pick, I'd be surprised if come the end of SS1 and all top drivers getting a clear run(a big ask in the mixed conditions) I think they have certainly got 3 of the top 5 there! IMO they are quicker than Bogie and Fisher, Katjo I expect will be right on the pace, Ahlin is I think hard to predict, perhaps this will be an event he should use his head on and then show his ultimate tar pace later in the season?
Actually I may not be reading MN this week as my local shop has sold out...

If conditions remain like this for the Circuit of Ireland it will be interesting to say the least!
