You are all just fooling yourselves as usual. It's clear that the dominant team will be Team Loco Americano F1. I actually feel sympathy for those of you think you still have a chance.... it's not your fault you can't see clearly and remain hopeful.

I will allow one final opportunity to jump on board with my team. At this point you will be subject to cleaning up after the parties, making travel arrangements for the uber wealthy, models, grid girls and other groupies, and possibly helping with the prep of all the fine foods we will be eating. However you will be fortunate enough to still somewhat mingle with the elite team, and at this point that is probably more than any of you deserve!

I'm assuming I'm really going to get a lot of jabs if my team does poorly this season! But since it's all in fun and the real season is about to start, I hope everyone has fun with it regardless of where any of us finish. That's the point of it for me.

Aki Racing Team has moved quickly to quash rumours that their lead driver Jenson Button has been poor in practice for the upcoming Australian GP, due to over eating of Kangeroo Pies.
The British star Button (33) is said to have been spotted around the back of the motorhomes munching on the marsupial delights.

Team owner made the following statement.

" I chose Jenson as my lead driver as I had faith in his credentials, however finishing 9th & 11th isn't going to do much for our Fantasy GP challenge, however I am sure the drivers will push hard and improve and I know for a fact that Jenson hasn't touched a Roo Burger while preparing for the season.
Jenson is a great guy and will lead our charge but maybe my hope for a top 20 FGP finish will have to be revised."

Steveaki was then asked if Bottas was settling in at the team.

" He'd better grab me some points otherwise I'll be finishing bottom at my Bonus GP."

Yellow Jens GP Racing Team would like to inform that it is satisfied with the challenging weather we are currently facing in Australia. Wet weather potentially works well with our current package, because it decreases the handicap of the underperforming cars our drivers Pérez and Bottas currently have. It suits well our Ferrari chassis, which was very competitive in the wet last year. Also suits our Mercedes-powered car as evidenced during Q1. And not least of all, wet weather decreases the danger of Red Bull domination, which could distract our season.

UPDATED:

Vauxhall Astra F1 Team is attempting to keep up with the 'Jens'es (Jones') and others by also issuing a team statement.

We are pleased with the performance of Sergio Perez who ended Q1 in 4th place, 4 places ahead of his frequently understeering team-mate, who to no-one's great surprise was probably suffering from balance issues.

Sadly, Esteban Gutierrez was eliminated from Q1 this time, though the youngster shows promise. He will be hoping that Pastor Maldonado has changed his ways since last season - since the Venezuelan driver will be starting alongside...

We are not happy with the decision of Charlie Whiting to stop qualifying. The way they and the drivers went on, you'd have thought there was a great flood happening at Albert Park and all the F1 teams would have to escape and drive their cars into Bernie's secret ark, two by two.

We also get ticked off by how modern drivers constantly use the adjective "impossible" when describing driving in rain. Team boss rjbetty is considering retracting his thoughts that modern drivers are at a higher level than those of the past, since he cannot remember ever hearing that kind of bleating from them.

It's quite clear that the McLaren chassis is pretty rubbish, and the Works Vauxhall Astra team is kinda kicking itself, having realised that having faith in McLaren sadly rarely tends to pay off. At least a Mercedes engined car is quickest, and Mercedes engined cars look very strong (apart from ours *sob*)

It looks like Red Bull will be strong this season, but we don't mind cos not many people have chosen their chassis, which are even more expensive than their drinks!



Just to say that boy are we glad we didn't choose Melbourne as our Bonus GP - Tough cheese Steveaki! :)

We've chosen Monza, and boy had McLaren better have gotten their act together by then...!

After a difficult couple of days, EuroTroll Racing's press officer (PO) interviewed the team boss (TB), EuroTroll.

PO: "What's your comment on McLaren's relative lack of pace?"
TB: "McLaren... why... what a bunch of boobies!"
PO: "What sort of result are you expecting for EuroTroll Racing tomorrow?"
TB: "I expect to shag your mother, hehehe..."
PO: "How do you rate young Valtteri Bottas's performance so far?"
TB: "Bottas... Bot... Buttocks... Bottom."
PO: "Are you hoping for further rain tomorrow?"
TB: "You're... you're my best friend."

The press officer would like to point out that at this point the team boss fell asleep next to two empty bottles of very expensive whiskey, and was unavailable for further comments.

The deadline for entries has passed and the application window is closed. We will re-open the Monday after the Australian GP for those who wish to participate even though these teams will not be able to compete for the final standing podiums.

From what I can work out.

However my season is over already thanks to me wasting my Bonus Gp (seemed like a good idea, Buttons great round here, the Sauber looked great in early testing and Mercedes supply a lot of great cars)

As it is I am struggling to fund my team after one race.

We are dissatisfied with our driver performance. We thought we got Pérez at a bargain, but it turns out he was relatively cheap for a reason!

Mercedes engine is not working well either, well behind both Ferrari and Renault powerplants. Again we thought we got a great engine at a bargain, but this was for a reason as well!

However, we are satisfied with the performance of our most expensive investment - the Ferrari chassis.

But in order to be a front-runner, the whole package needs to work well, not just one part out of four. So we will work on our weaknesses before the next race weekends. :)

But Perez was quicker than Button in the race, scoring a faster race lap and finishing just behind his team-mate. :)

McLaren had better sort out their car Williams-2003 style.

The results are delayed because I have not setup my spreadsheet yet. I'm working on it now.
I can say that we who choose either Perez or Hulkenberg got a rude awakening today!

Yes, I use an asterisk. I just forgot to put it on the site. I will do so later tonight (Chicago time).

Phew.... I am joint 20th! Could be worse I guess.

On a negative note, I really think I stuffed up this year as well. The Ferrari engine is good, but what was I thinking wasting all that money on Perez? I could have had the Red Bull chassis if I hadn't wasted all my hard earned millions on him! Travesty!

Could have been worse considering I had no drivers and was beaten by 2 engines and 3 chassis, that said I guess there are a lot of people in the same boat. My previous potential team of Lotus and Renault would have been nice, but I jumped in the wrong direction

I have Perez as well, but have faith he will gain form through the season. I still think he will be the best deal of the year.
