1.From wrc.com: "Rallye de France-Alsace organisers have made special efforts to reduce the amount of mud and gravel dragged onto the asphalt stages by drivers cutting corners. The inside of many bends are lined by a series of heavy bollards to keep cars on the asphalt and prevent drivers shaving tenths of a second from their time by cutting."

Preventing cutting means taking away a part of the sport/challenge/driving. The gravel/dirt/mud thrown onto the stage is part of the game and makes it more difficult for the drivers. I understand that in local events organizers do it to reduce the costs of repairs, but on this level stages should not be adjusted by organizers.

We have made also anti-cutting sticks on Barum rally. But it is not only because of less gravel on the road, but it is also helping so save the road (because when the cars are cutting, it is also destroying edges of the road).

So let me get this straight, if a driver wins the power stage but then doesn't finish the rally, doesn't get the power stage's points? so the 2nd classified of the power stage will become 1st? (if he'll finish the rally)

What do the poles look like? The metal ones a few years ago were nice and dangerous.
