It is....
The GNR - Guarda Nacional Republicana - infantry are extremely unpersuadble...
It's not even allowed to cross the road or walk on the track 1,5 hours before the start of the stage...
The different 'ZE' are the only option

Moreover, the famous jump in Ourique (this year it's part of Almodovar) isn't a ZE but it's always plenty of spectators. These five years I've always watched the rally at some non-ZE places (two or three each year). I'll do it again this year. Of course, some hours spent on Google Earth and experience are needed.Quote:

PG Andersson
- "I am very grateful to Oleksii giving us this opportunity. It will be really fun to drive WRC in this competitive car and I will of course go and run for victory" laughs PG.
He will drive an Fiesta S2000, not RRC that I wrote earlier.
So much fun to see him in a competitive car :D
Is Cherepin going to be Andersson's co-driver or can they change that? Normally after the entry list is closed only either the driver or the co-driver can be changed...
No, they'll change it!
Is there any stages with good jumps,I'm arriving on the 10th so I can't have a look at any of them ,being my first time at the rally any help would be great

M-Sport Ford Rally this season pushed Juho Hänninen withdraws from the Portuguese Rally for personal reasons, says the Eastern Savo-Journal website.
Portuguese rally driving 11 to 14. April. Hänninen's future plans will make after the race.
- Personal reasons solved it, I do not drive in Portugal. I made my decision between the non-competition yesterday, Hänninen commented on the Eastern Savo province on Wednesday.
Hänninen has been driven by two races this season in Qatar with M-Sport Fiesta. Monte Carlo and Sweden, he cut handsomely finished sixth.
I don't like... :(
Colin Clark @voiceofrally12m
No Hanninen for Rally Portugal. Decision made yesterday, personal reasons given for him withdrawing. Hope to see him back soon!
Is there any chance of M-sport use another driver in Portugal with the car that was to Hanninen?Quote:

Colin Clark @voiceofrally Message from Juho, good to see he’s still positive! “Don’t worry, we are working hard with rest of the year and will see you somewhere!”
what has happened with hänninen, does anyone know?
I did see one rumour from a Cech source on FB that he has been linked with Hyundai and so lost his seat at Ford.
Yes, he is linked to Hyundai according to finish YLE 2 TV. But if this change is because of this rumour or there are another problems, we dont know...Quote:

He did a good job last year being able to survive, to say the least. On the other hand, he even beat Ogier face to face :D !Quote:

Juho and Hyundai rumour in Finnish tv was already two weeks ago. That same program was also where I first heard about Juho's Ford plans and Lappi's Skoda chance, so they're onto something at times. However, if this withdrewal is linked to that, that's harsh.Quote:

Latvala?
Only Mikkelsen according to VW Motorsport press release.
Quote:
Ogier forced to withdraw from “Fafe Rally Sprint”
Volkswagen rally driver Sébastien Ogier (F) has been forced to withdraw from the legendary “Fafe Rally Sprint” on Saturday on medical grounds. The Frenchman had intended participating in the show event held near Porto with co-driver Julien Ingrassia (F) in preparation for Portugal’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship (11 – 14 April).
“Unfortunately I have been laid low by an influenza infection, leading my doctor to insist that I withdraw,” regrets Ogier. “I would really have liked to participate in this unique event, but my World Rally Championship commitments must take precedence. I hope the fans understand that.”
However, one Volkswagen Polo R WRC will take the start in Fafe, driven by Andreas Mikkelsen (N) and his co-driver Mikko Markkula (FIN). The Nordic duo will give it their all in front of the 100 000 spectators who are expected to pack the 6,34 kilometre course on 06 April, as the crew targets not only victory, but also the world record on one of the most spectacular jumps in rallying. Currently the record stands at 73,5 metres, set by Armin Schwarz in a Škoda Octavia WRC in 2000.
After the event the Volkswagen team heads for the Rally Portugal, which starts with qualifying on 11 April and ends with a podium ceremony in the Algarve Stadium near Faro on 14 April.
Not understanding, and don`t liking it at all, why VW insists on not allowing JM Latvala to participate on Fafe Rally Sprint...
Me neither. Why did they sign him at all? It was obvious what his performance will be. Let him bin it everywhere or fire him immediately.Quote:
