Big crowds...real rally atmosphere.
Really a lot of people there indeed!
When is the next run if there is one? :)
NOW here !!!
DIRECTO - Emissões TV Online - RTP 2 - Multimédia RTP
they go in reverse order down the whole field so there is still time until the good ones start.
Yeah, I saw the streaming, but saw a DS3, so thought it was the end of the field. But its clear now ;)
Thanks.
And then ss2 and ss3 at 15:53 and 16:20 local time?
this is the rally sprint just for fun...real rally starts thursday..
Lol Mikko!! Awesome :D
Really like the stage.
GRANDE MIKKO! Almost lost the road because of the dust :D
I hope these thousands of people out there are shooting with cameras and will upload it in youtube later, because the lag in the internet stream is like reading a comic book. But everything else is more than perfect!
I've got no lag at all.
Did somebody say something else?Quote:

I know I'm going to be mocked for this, but would anyone care to explain what this Fafe Rallysprint actually is? How come only half the drivers did stage 1, and half do stage 2? And how many stages are there? I haven't been this confused about a rally since, well, ever!
Fafe Rally Sprint is a promotion event from the “antique” Rally of Portugal. The stage runned is the famouse Fafe-Lameirinha and this is a way of testing a possible return from the Rally of Portugal to the north, and a way o showing the passion fans from Portugal.
Some drivers swap because this is a promotion event, and they don’t have all the cars at the north, because the real rally is at the south…
Aah thanks mate - makes sense then. I have to say it looks to be working - the fan presence is amazing and what rallying should be about!

Too many spectators and problems of controlling their behaviour.. if i remember correctly.Quote:

The stages are really cool, not like the North ones but really cool... but unfortunatly in Algarve the tourist want to go to the beach and play golf, instead of watching rally in the middle of nowhere! Here in the North there is a big affluence of fans, and the Spanish people come too!

Do you have any estimate on the number of spectators who attended the show ?
I don´t think so.Quote:

To public opinion it was easier to keep pushing the spectator’s behaviour key...
Somehow this prejudice leaded organizers to look for different locations. The much less crowded Algarve come out, hold up by magnificent stages and handy facilities – hotels, airport, stadium, etc. – highly suitable to clover leaf rally format.
It’s soon to say that Portugal rally will come back to his inborn scenery, the North, but today exhibition won’t surely be forgotten.
Two things I noticed - Elena is without a balaclava and Lehtinen probably had a problem with helmet's intercom. He's got a recce headset plugged in and holding the mic with his left hand.
