Shame for Gardemeister that he can't pull it through with Skoda. Yesterday in his FB post he said they made some changes to setup at service, but that was to worse. Apparently it isn't to his liking yet either.
Looks like this was Peugeot stage.
Some 80+ SS-kms behind and top five within less than 10 seconds!
Remember he is on Hankook, and they are not on par with Michelin !Quote:

Kopecky said he was too careful in twisty narrow part in the middle of the stage. Loix said he had a good feeling, but in last downhill section he took it too easy, had no good feeling.Quote:

Yes... and crew is ok...
Today Arai with his R4 is faster than Gonon with a traditional N4!
P.s. What a time by Bouffier!!!
I like Toni but I just don't think he is as fast as the top IRC guys on asphalt. On Monte he ran a 207 on Michelin and the story was the same.Quote:

Puncture for Bouffier....
Does Loix have children ? I bet he's great in telling ged time stories with his soft tone :D
I think Al-Rajhi's time might be wrong :D
Edit: now corrected.
You know, problem isn't Tony, problem with difference between factory Skoda's and client's Skoda'sQuote:

Well.. But Kresta can do fairly well with client car in Czech championships.Quote:

A few have complained about set up after the first stages. Lets see if some of them gets it right after the break.
I guess the man in the Megane will get faster after a few adjustments, since he as a driver is supposed to be fast.
I agree with RS: with Toni, itīs probably a little bit of everything that slows him down sooo much in the end + we mustnīt forget that he drives his own car, so a big crash would be crucial for his financial resources.Quote:

Yes, like I already mentioned, unlike Toni, Kresta is deemed to be one of the best "set-upers" there is.Quote:

Is this one streamed online somewhere, or is it the next one ?
No tv stages this afternoon!
The Finnish commentators on Eurosport said that Toni would get updates to the engine.
Here are http://channel.ellegy.com/ (Rally 2011 / Test Mini RRC) sound samples for Mini with 30 mm restrictor. For me it looks like the rev changes are made at about 6700-6800 rpm.
It seems that even in this case calculating with the relative size (area) of the restrictors ( 31 mm / 33 mm) give a pretty good result if WRC cars make the gear change at 8000 rpm.
