I was very impressed with the improvements the RunX had, even JP was running in a decent position, but you guys were definately the quicker RunX. Pity it all went wrong, I've never known the tunnels to cause as much trouble as they did on this event. I believe Cronje did actually hit the tunnel a little further up the road from the spectator point.Quote:

Hi is the Fiesta of Jon Williams a new car??
thank'you!!!
Andre,
If I'm not mistaken Jon Williams is driving with the 2010 Ford Fiesta S2000.. so yes fairly new.
Andre, I know Mark's is a brand new car, not sure about Jon.
Jon's car is new!
Can't believe it's only 16 days until the Sasol Rally. What a hectic start to the season.
You telling me, just got back to work and trying to catch everything up. Recce on Sasol means even less time.
Just discovered its my bachelors that weekend.. :D
but that means I'm going to miss the Sasol Rally aswell.. :(
Neil, you need to plan you calendar better!
Grant, I forgot this would have a recce on it because it's a ARC event.
Hahahahaha.. if only I was doing the planning on this one.. ;)Quote:

No doubt they are awesome roads, i would personally prefer it not to be the first round of the series, everyone is a bit "ring rusty" and probably the most challenging rally of the season as the opener makes it all that much more hectic.
No one seems to have gotten us on video, we must have been really slow :-) Lets see what wed nights program shows.
I'm sure you'll feature on the Wednesday night show. Your performance on day 1 should get you airtime.
Grant, you need to kick a stink to MSA. I've just seen the official points and they've moved Weston / Visser up from last to 2 places above you guys. As far as I know there were no corrected results.
Thanks Bruce, will look into it,
I can see a few mistakes so, will request it be looked at.
Oh ok, only spotted that one, the rest agreed with what I had worked out already. Ridiculous that it takes them over a week to do what I did in my 30min lunch break yesterday...
Just checked http://www.sarallying.co.za the official site, the points are correct according to those final results. Somewhere along the line someone didnt get final final results
Geez, sounds like MSA have really done a great job trying to stuff up the championship this year. Get rid of the political guys at the top and lets run it by the fans. Probably happen 10 times faster.
Here Grant, you feature a few times in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWzq1...eature=related
Thanks Bruce.... no one looked to quick in those shots did they hahahhaahhah,
Tonights broadcast will be interesting, new crew, new ideas.Do miss the old guys though.
Hmm yes I'm always nervous when they change crews cos you never know if the people know what they're doing or clueless and it becomes bleedingly obvious in 30sec. So long as they stop what the other guys were doing in repeating the previous event for the first 5min, that should be great.
As far as i could see it was Videosport, they been in the game a long time, so know what they doing.
Yeah they should. So long as it's not a repeat of that 1998-2007 effort then I'll be happy. Geez that was a disaster.
i seriously doubt TV would ever go back to that, hahahaahah have you watched the A Team lately? and that used to be cool, hahahahahahha
THe entry list for the Sasol is going to be interesting to see who from Africa comes, i can only see the local entrants and that is presently on 29 National cars.
What did you think of that TV coverage last night? I thought it was really good, done well and entertaining. You're into the rally by 3min into the program and there is not 30min explaining what rallying is every time. The girl maybe needs to calm down a bit in her presentations (she seemed a bit too hyped) and be given the correct information so she doesn't look like a fool giving the wrong positions but otherwise she was good and she does the interviews well so I think she should stay.
Cant say i agree, feels like we have gone backwards.
yes straight into the rally, but then again its a new season, new cars, new combinations, if you didnt keep up with all the news wouldnt you have appreciated a bit of pre-season information?
Iv spoken to a few people, and reactions are very mixed,
btw it seems i am now Gavin, nice to meet you all.
oh yes, the lady on camera wasnt the lady who did the interviews.
Oh, well in that case, get the lady who did the interviews to do it cos she sounds clued up. The other one was on space cookies.
Yeah, watching the bits I missed again they did make quite a few mistakes. I did see Dave and Evan's comments about things last night, I do agree there were too many of them pulling up to controls.
BTW you are also Carolyn now too, as I see JP's spin was nicely credited to you guys and used as an example of how often you guys crash! Two problems, one you could see the camera angle was the same as JP's earlier one and different to you guys and two the caption at the bottom was correct that it was JP and Carolyn not you guys.
One thing I did like was the fact that the onboard cameras now faced out the front window rather than at the dashboard like the others were the last few years.
I also featured a few times, especially at the end of Esperanza 1.
I'm sorry but I worry about presenters who look like this, freaky stuff. There is such a thing as being too happy.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with all your comments,
Nice lady. Any chance that we could see the coverage?
