I think Karlzoro means places where you are forced to go, so that you cannot go to other places. Kind of like in Portugal, where they don't allow you to walk near stage to go to some nice points, but you are forced to go to "public areas". :DQuote:

The first days it was Google Earth foto's that they put on it, but now it changed to normal maps, but they are not very accurate. I have been searching for good roadmaps of Sao Miguel, but the ones that i found are not really great neither, so i will use my Google Earth files to prepare for this rally. :DQuote:

Ok Luis, thank you for the answer, i think we are all really looking forward to the event. ;)
The time is running and we are almost there!
Next week the ferry boat with the cars will sail from Lisbon towards Ponta Delgada.
I've got my answers now :D
I shall also prepare me with google earth for this rally...and try to get a good road map @ Açores...
The Public Area's I mean are the one like in Portugal 2008: that you must stay in a restricted area & can't get to other spots...Not that I didn't saw a nice rally ;) but I like to be free to go to (nice) spots instead of being forced to stay @ 1 place

Friends, it looks I will be on Acores too ;)
Minutes ago I heard a radio interview in which the president of the organization spoke about 100 foreign journalists in the Açores.
I'm gutted to be missing this one but unfortunately I've got too many commitments later in the year that must take priority :(
Abarth and Skoda will do a test next 3 and 4th of May in Azores, said a local newspaper. First oportunity to see the cars in action. ;)
It seems that we wil have a lot of people from the forum in Azores Rally.
Luis Pacheco is apointed as the man that commits to book a dinner with all :D
Where will they do test Luis, because i tought there are not much represenative bases in Sao Miguel. :confused:Quote:
