Personally I don't think he has come of age. More like Lotus suits him because of not dealing with the likes Ron The Don and LDM.

He's learned to temper his natural driving ability with consistency and smoother driving too, part of the reason why he's excelling in that Lotus and Grosjean isn't, I guess. I for one am overjoyed that one of my favorite drivers is doing so well.

Of course, he could prove us all wrong and beach the Lotus in the gravel on Sunday...

As for the tyres, while I don't like that everything is governed by the tyres now and not the ultimate combination of a fast driver and a fast car, on the other hand I'm also quite satisfied as long as Red Bull are struggling we don't have to see another year with them dominating.

I disagree, Kimi is the same he was from day one. Not more motivated, not less. He's just got a great car and a team that cares about his driving, not his communication skills.

I was looking at The Weather Channel. They predicted a 60% chance of heavy showers around 1300, which would be the start of qualifying.

Quali starts at 16:00 local time, 01:00 PDT. From what I’ve read the predictions are for 5mm of rain. If that is accurate I don't think it is enough to postpone quali, but if there is substantially more it could :bulb:

If one drop hits the circuit Quali will be abandoned.
Seriously though it is always an issue at Sepang.
