What I'm referring to is that a number of winning Superbowl quarterbacks have not had what you would call stellar careers, but they have a SuperBowl ring and in some cases were MVP.
i.e. Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Williams, Jim Plunkett etc.
Look at how many QB's that dont have rings or mvp's.Warren Moon comes to mind,never have been played in a Super Bowl,Fran Tarkenton and others.Winning a title does help,but it is not the end all of being a great QB.
