Looks VW had nothing to hide while testing in Germany but in Finland it was forbidden to take pics at paddock area for some reason.
Also tarmac testcar has some livery covering boring white.

This polo looks great.
I wouldn't be so sure about it, maybe it has been also prohibited in Germany test but it's nearly impossible to prevent pictures being taken on the paddock area... Unless you hide the car inside a building or a makeshift barriers with trucks etc.Quote:

Looks better than in the Catalunya video... Also for the first time (atleast for me), correvit sensor light is visible, near the left front tyre.

I just realized that it looks like Polo's rollcage doesn't have the short tube connecting the B-pillar vertical tube and roof's horizontal tube... (which is usually used to create a triangle next to drivers' heads to prevent roof crushing in hard roof impacts.) I've thought it's mandatory in WRC rules.

Don't know if this very spectacular video of Prokop's test was here:

I'm not sure about WRC rules. I think that there is statement saying that in case they undergo all necessary homologation tests they can design the cage in different way than just to combine mandatory elements from the specific regulations (I don't know if those tests are different for WRC but otherwise they are rather easy to be fulfilled). But anyway those tubes You speak about shall be there because they are extremely important in case the car hit a tree or a pole by the roof. Probably the cage in test cars is still not completely finished.Quote:

Why he tested the car ??
Who? Prokop? He did very few kilometers on asphalt in Fiesta WRC so he needs to test as much as possible.
Gravel test Polo R WRC Ogier/Ingrassia
Ogier Polo R WRC Gravel
yes but i never really understood why drivers with no potential test the cars before the events.... i think they do it to have fun rather than change things...Quote:

for me this is a dream season for M.Prokop.
Thatīs in Portugal at the same place where every other team has been testing during the past years, isīnt it?Quote:

As for to be(at) a future Loeb a double backflip is a must. At least!
Surely he won't be the new shiny star of the galaxy,

Absolutely, Citroen, Ford, Prodrive and now VW made out a will on this stage. They make generally tests robustness.Quote:
