I wonder why they didn't opt for a space frame instead of classic bodyshell when the cars are anyway moving farther from the stock ones. It would make things easier for the teams and it would allow better optimalization of the whole package even in terms of safety.

Have there been any safety upgrades at all announced for the 2017 cars? Normally that is built into all new regulations - or certainly should be.

Hinkelsteins only slowed it don a bit but not much. Anyway it must be serious speed misjudgement in that corner, perhaps pacenote was too optimistic.
