The spectators are a problem, there are big stones in the road and we had a stone thrown at my co-driver’s window. Also in stage five, we went through the water splash and knocked off the wheel speed sensor. After that, the car started misfiring. At the start of the second super special stage, because of the right rear tracking problem, the car oversteered and I hit a bridge, damaging the right rear wing.”

Had problems with the fuel pump on all three stages and then the gearbox was damaged when he ran over some stones on the 11th stage.

Seems to be a couple of determined people. Perhaps locals that are not happy about people coming onto their land and being pinned into their property by the rally having the road closed?

Edstrom posted the km range of the stone throwers yesterday, seems like there are some angry locals in a couple of pockets...
