Great to see a Spectator Marshal quickly chase some spectators from a dangerous spot after that hairpin
Any more near misses with spectators ?
Finally a better stage for Evans.
Neuville, Ogier and Tänak just another level to others.
M-Sport is the only team with all their WRC cars still running :)
Well played.
How do these guys get a good enough signal to show this live ?
funny tricky hairpin... another off then a stall and more to come...

Not a great feeling on fast roads with the front slight splitter damage but not a problem in slow sections.
Disastrous day for citroen, still a long way to go.
Never really liked the gambling nature of this event, no conclusions can be drawn about anything.
Season starts in Mexico.
Plenty of incidents at this live hairpin.

Just too quick.
the only real disappointment so far is sordo, i think his time has run out and after this year he should just disappear into nothingness. Everything else was expected.

So is the start order tomorrow: Rally 2 cars followed by top 10 WRC (assuming 10 survivors which there isn't) in reverse order or top 10 classified in reverse order? Whichever, there will be little advantage either way between Neuville and Ogier.
What an exciting rally! Thoroughly enjoying Latvala's performance, as well as the possibility that for the first time in four years we will have a new championship leader, and a genuine title race.

Tbf his steady approach might come in handy for the manufactures championship for Hyundai. They really have to deliver one of the titles this year considering the budget they've had since they joined the wrc, and Paddon can't be trusted to finish rallies regular yet. He's not one of the quickest drivers by any stretch, but he's even worse on these changeable conditions

KA: "It’s obviously been a tough day. It’s frustrating knowing we have the performance in the car, but we are not in a position to use it."
what problems had Abbring?
Is there any way to follow press conference?

if you take away Ogier's ditch and Tänak's downshifting problems then those 3 leading drivers were basically the same. Okay Neuville would be ahead because he had some kind of problems too in SS7
Citroen must be gutted with their failure on this near-home event. They would have loved a win here with the new C3.
Meeke takes blame:
