The team has received bodyshell allready last week, but the car isn't finished, and he skipped Wervik because no engine or gearbox. Normally he is supposed to test tomorrow, but i don't know if the car is finished by now.

Are Skoda staying in Belgium for R5 testing?
Baumschlager & Wiegand testing the Fabia R5
http://www.rallye-magazin.de/rallyes...and/index.html
Has anyone else driven the Fabia R5 besides Kopecky, Lappi, Loix, Wiegand and Baumschlager?
I remember during Fabia S2000 development they used people such as Panizzi, Lindholm, Sainz (?)..
Isn't five drivers enough?
There are the Skoda works team drivers and on the other hand two older and very experienced drivers, who still could compete on a high international level, but who are now only competing in their national championships and retired of international rallying. But they still shine when ERC circuit visit their home countries. Loix and Baumschlager are long time skoda testers, too.
New car to Ketomaa:
PX14 HVG (Chassis ?)
Need to know chassis of PY63 LYT (Tänak), DF-600-KY (Lafay), PY63 LYP (Hungary), PY63 LZE (Maurin), PY63 LYU (Ahlin) and CJ13 MCT (Tempestini)
Baumschlager with Fabia R5. Unfortunately the author of the video stayed only at the end of stage but at least You can see some "race" starts from zero speed. The car is definitely much quicker from zero than S2000.

haven t noticed something like that.
I also haven't noticed anything like that depending on the car. For me some drivers almost always lock wheels when braking (Breen for example), some almost never (Rossetti) regardless of the car they use. One thing which may play a role in this is that 208 and especially Fiesta dive a lot during braking (in comparison with Fabia S2000).
-italian most important car's magazine "Quattroruote" in the latest issue has a rendering of the fabia mk3
-in the article they assume that will be a revised actual platform with some components from mqb
-will add some cm to overall lenght
-will share the most with vw Polo
-particular design for the 3rd side window

I have been a little disappointed with the performance of the R5 cars on the world stage, I expected them to be a little further ahead of RRC and S2000 cars than they are.
My feeling is still that the 208 is faster than the Fiesta, whilst it lasts. Maybe when we see some fast and experienced drivers in the 208/DS3 R5 these cars will close the gap on the WRCars?
Munaretto is now building too a 208 R5, Raoux would debut it in Estonia ERC event?
Have any top drivers tested WRC, RRC and R5 on same route to see the diff pr km ss?
I've made an intervju on eyvind brynhildsen at rallyradio at aurskog-hølandsrally, 5th round of norwegian championship. He started with his new fiesta rrc, and he said it was equal to the R5 he drove last year.
So suspension is the main disadvantage of R5?
How does the engine compare to RRC and WRC in performance? I understand restrictor is bigger but it has to be based on a road car engine whereas the WRC engine can be custom built.
RRC is WRC but with smaller restrictor, different flywheel and different spoiler kit
R5 has according to MSport 90% different parts from the RRC. Diff in engine, suspension (4 equal corners) also gearbox and other major parts.
Speedwise they are more or less the same, but think the RRC is tougher!
R5 32mm restrictor + 5 speed gearbox
RRC 30mm restrictor from Ford rrc sales document (mini rrc sales 30mm too) on wrc 31mm (http://www.wrc.com/en/wrc/about-wrc/...053-672--.html) + 6 speed gearbox
do you know which is the right mm restrictor or wrc allowed 1mm larger width restrictor last year? I didn't find the news on the web....
Can we assume there is no difference on performance r5 vs rrc on tarmac?
R5 has 32 mm and RRC 30 mm but the engines use different levels of tuning. RRC engines are tailor made racing units while R5 engine is tuned stock engine. As stated before the gearbox is as well better in RRC with six gears available compared to five of R5. Anyway the main advantage of RRC is that all its parts are made specifically for the rally use while R5 uses many parts from stock production hence it is less reliable especially in rough conditions. On the other hand RRC is at least 2x more expensive to run.
manthey: There are many very different kinds of tarmac. Catalunya is completely different than Barum, Sanremo is completely different than Ypres etc. I don't think that it's possible to simplify it so much. For example on bumpy surface here in CZ or in Belgium teams have been struggling with Fiesta R5 setup.
In general R5 is accelerating a little bit better, but RRC turns better, as it has more advanced and stronger suspension. running cost of RRC is same as WRC, so way more then R5. Which car is faster depends on stages characteristics.
How do 'real life' power and torque figures compare R5/RRC/WRC then?
