Entry list for the Rally Valle D'Aosta (TRA) was already published. And what a list!!!
http://www.rallyvalledaosta.it/2011/pdf/iscritti.pdf
Chentre is back again !
Also Re's son in a DS3 ;)
Sad news from Aosta-Elwis Chentre canceled his entry on the Rally Valle D'Aosta due to health problems.
Now it is free way for a victory fight between Felice Re and Luca Pedersoli.
What about Paolo Porro(in a latest Focus too)
Re ahead of Porro and Pedersoli on SS1...only 3" gap between them :D

Yes, keep on Felice.....Quote:

After 1st short leg everything in order: Pedersoli ahead of Re and Porro :p :
Big battle in S2000 between Depau and di Benedetto ;)
Inferior?? Why?? If you would read an interview made with P.Porro two years ago, he admitted that they all (gentelman drivers-him, Re, Silva, Pedersoli, Oldrati...) are using yust app.70 to maximum 80% of potential of these vehicles, so there is still some ''gap'' for improvements....When you are driving on a full, using last atoms of vehicles capacity, then you can complain over unequal position, but until they are yust ''crusing'', it doesn't matter if you drive Focus '06, Xsara, C4, 307.....Quote:

Or Luca Rossetti in the same season-Valli Pordenosi with S2000 car, less than 30 seconds behind winner in WRC!! Or P.G.Deila three years ago-also with P206 WRC, all the rest with 307, Xsara, Focus...he won two rallies, but was forced to quit due to lack of money....
I respect all those gentelman drivers, I'm a big fan of Re, but they are really yust Sunday drivers....Chentre was a champion in 2009 for several races before the end of the seson. The same story in Italian IRC, two years ago Cunico ''destroyed'' competition (Lucciani, Sora, Oldrati...).
Hmm, still driving a car A on 70% is still faster than driving car B on 70% if car A is faster. So if drivers are quite equal the machinery counts, no matter how good drivers they are. Even if they drive both their cars on 20%, still the one with better car is faster ;)
Two more stages to the end of Aosta; Pede is in a lead by yust 5,7 seconds, Re is second. All others are ''second league''.....
The Focus is slower than Citroen on tarmac , and his spec is 2006 , while I believe Pede and Re got 2008 version C4s . It doesn't matter comparing them with good drivers because all 3 of them are gentelamn drivers . Now the difference between Porro and Pede&Re is realistic ;)
Congratulations to Pedersoli&Romano, also a very good performance by Felice Re (mistake on stage4 cost him a victory). Both Re and Pedersoli won all stages, they really dominated this rally.
Next week(hopefully tomorrow)we'll get entrylist of Rally Costa Smeralda, common event o CIR and TRT(italian championship + gravel) ;)
While waiting for the entry list we can sing a song about Luca Rossetti, can somebody translate the lyrics? ;)

I remember a few italian fans in Rally Monte Carlo, up on the Turini, singing something about Giandomenico Basso. There was a lot of fun that night :)
Entry list published: http://www.rallycostasmeralda.com/co...scritti_30.pdf
Not a lot of crews, but quality is present
Travglia will not drive CIR, only ERC?
Mikkelsen is flying !
He should fly, after all he is one of those "super drivers from wrc", but he must also watch out for Ucci which is still not at full speed yet.
Btw- it's interesting to compare SWRC drivers with CIR.
Are the stages exactly the same as used in WRC ?
So is the speed difference just down to clean roads ?
They are the same, look at the distance of each ss.Quote:

No Mikkelsen on SS5
SS5 is tomorrow, Mikkelsen is somwhere on the ss4 - mechanical problem. He stopped almost in the same place as Aghini.
I was positively surprised about Mikkelsen pace, he was fast, indeed...But now everything is back ''to normal'', Italian Loeb-Mr.Andreucci has a lead. But there is still tomorrow, it is a gravel race and it could be anyone affected by a puncture....
Guys, where do you follow the CIR results?
here mateQuote:

Not sure who this is going off on SS3 (and not sure why people are shouting "Pasta" and "Pizza")

Isn't it same place where Mr.Zanchi destroyed his Fabia last year?
Don't compare this french cyber driver of bland character with Ucci! ;)Quote:

But the star of the rally is definitely young Simone Cempedelli !! Yust look his final position-fifth place with DS3R3T, in front of very skilled driver Perico (207S2000), Dettori(FiestaS2000), both top N4 drivers Gianfico&Angrisani...Bettega was second in 2WD class with Clio R3, but almost five minutes back!! Dear friends, to achive such a result on a gravel.....respect!!!
Yet DS3R3T is still at the beginning of the development, so what kind of surprises can we expect...???
DS3 is a very fast car and with a talent behind the wheel can be very surprising remember also Neuville in Valais he kicked many asses there !
I think it is ChentreQuote:
