ADAC Rallye Deutschland 2013

Ogier starts again tomorrow morning, according to VW Motorsport site.

"Things are not going at all to plan for Latvala’s team-mate Sébastien Ogier after leaving the road on Friday’s opening stage: the Frenchman was forced to pull to side of the road in his damaged #8 Polo R WRC. The car will have to wait until Saturday to rejoin the race under Rally2 conditions."

Is this only for the 3 powerstage points at the end of the rally? Is it actually possible for him to also skip the Saturday stages, and just go all out on the last one on Sunday?

There is much more to play for when he can win stages on VW home ground - even without points.

Ogier's retirement should leave things quite interesting. A better car with a lesser asphalt driver against a lesser car with a better asphalt driver.....if that makes sense. Hopefully they can both keep it between the vines.

Very interesting start to the rally, I am really encouraged by Paddon's times. Hopefully he can keep it up and make the podium of WRC2

I know it's early days, very early, but how much if an embarrassment would it be to jml and sordo if Thierry won. Not to mention the other front runners.

I thing he already embarrased them (except Latvala) few Rallyes from now

What I'm missing is a benchmark for Neuville, as he's the only competitive Ford-driver at the moment on asphalt. Östberg, Novikov, Al-Attiyah and Kosciuszko are hardly a match. In Finland at least Östberg kept him honest, but now there is not really a way of valuing his drive in comparison to Latvala and Sordo. Because I do believe the Citroën and especially the Polo are a tad better right now in Germany. I hope he's not over-driving.

Anyway, Panzerplatte will decide all I guess.
