Why wouldn´t they? Aren´t they sportsmen? In rallying I´ve seen many times sportmanship between the drivers and even between factory team.

Ahh, after Rallyper's post I realized you probably meant that they wouldn't approve it. I thought you ment that the team wouldn't do the process to ask for it.

I absolutely think the other competitors would authorize it. Wouldn't look too good if YOU are the one that is not up to the challenge when someone wants to compete with you?! That would indicate both bad sportsmanship and that you're afraid to lose.

However, I'm not sure how likely the team is to ask for it... :)

I think so. I do see the "priority" number right down to and including Joakim Nymam. They are on the official entry list but all those from Jounui Arolainen down are as you say just doing one rally and therefore are not actually on the official entry list for any of the championships. They will obviously be down on the classification for say the SWRC or the JWRC for the rally but they are not on the official entry list and may not be eligible to score points. :)

Privateers not registered for the championships wont be on the classification for the SWRC/JWRC/PWRC. They are privateers and are invisible as far as these FIA championships are concerned - even if they beat all the registered drivers.

What about Danny Snobeck, Ipatec World Rally Team and Mattias Therman who are in the Group A Class 8 which is the WRC?
