Our pictures from a great Rally Sweden again
...::: Rallyfoto.se :::...
Hello
Just saw the topmounts at the service park and they at least were Reigers as well as the breather for the damper. The purple colour is quit easy to notice..
But in all fairness I did not see the actual damperbody so might be that for some reason they used just some parts in top from old cars if the Sachs ones aren`t ready yet?
And thanks for the Proton info, I wasn`t aware of that!

Rumors say they (Ogier and Andreas) used the Sachs dampers, at least one of the days in Sweden, and they should have used Rieger at least one of the days.Quote:

I think I can say with great certainty, that at least Novikov and Mads had the same engine as the factory team.Quote:

plenty of forumers said a lot of times that cars aren t same in terms of power.Specially Mads fiesta mentioned last year wasn t powerfull as works ones, after Sweden. In Sweden it was rocket,at next rallies was downgraded.Quote:

Wrong question. Difference between factory and non-factory is not only in power.Quote:

I thought You can adjust even group N dampers between stages. I can hardly imagine it is not possible with WRC ones.

You didn t understant my question. ;) If you have understand,we can discuss it.Quote:

Dont forget his good road position in sweden last year.
The shimming or valving might have changed yes, but the basic principle what happens when adjusting with the clicks is always the same, regardless of shim setting or valving.
I can`t think of any reason why he couldn`t chnge cliscks between stages other than no knowledge in what to do?
At least it`s certain that they haven`t removed the click units only from his car! Beacuse it would have needed classification.

Plus Julian and Colin are great talkers! I like this duo more then Becs and Colin. That's why I could listen a whole day to IRC rally radio, but not so much with WRC rally radio.
I believe the original poster was actually meaning to say more precisely by adjustment: ride height. I had a comment on the blog last year explaining that the works drivers can change the ride height of their cars with a tool, rather easily, between stages. While others can only do it at service because different system.Quote:

Thanks a lot for these high-res photos!
Do you mean suspension or ride high? At least last year I think that only the manu cars had the ability to change the ride high between stages. I saw on MTV3 broadcast when JML lowered the car before the tarmac stages in Argentina. It was done by a crank and the adjustment point was near the front damper.Quote:

[positive critic] I donnow is it only me, but most of the cars look somehow "static", like they are parked in a museum. Take a look on what other photografers share, which type of corners choose, and set your camera on "best shot mode" which means one click takes dozen photos for a couple of seconds (while the car is flying past you) and then choose the most attractive ones.
