i´ve seen a cameramount like this on a rallyecar before, so i also think its only a camera.

Sebastien Ogier testing WRC Polo in Finland (25.06.2012 in Kuhmoinen) - YouTube
suspension looks good...maybe a bit soft....maybe.
The suspension looks soft for sure, but it lands balanced on the clips. But we shouldn't draw too far conclusions on these first videos. It's development test and they obviously were testing things out, not yet runnning 100%, definitely not running the necessary speed yet. But oh boy it looks good.
Damn, I wasn't the fastest! :D My video coming as soon as it's processed and uploaded...
I could comment the day verbally a bit. You could see in the morning that Polo wasn't used to flying... :) But it improved helluva lot during the day and now it looks like veeery balanced on jumps, it's a joy to look because it comes down in a stable manner and suspension seemed to take the landings very well. I didn't see so much corner action, but I'd say the car is well balanced.
My video from the day :)
Engine sound is terrific. Something between DS3 WRC and old Subaru WRC :)
Landings are brilliant. Hard to say if the suspension isn't too soft for fast corners but definitely it looks very promising.
Juha Koo// Very nice to see video of today´s testing. How do manage to get to know where they are testing?
Anyway it´s good to let us others know about it. Thanks (even to other fellows reporting)
VW tests were hardly a secret anymore after Sunday when VW trucks ran towards Central Finland in Midsummer's return traffic. Perhaps the busiest day of the year in Finland's traffic so many rally fans saw the trucks, so 1+1...Quote:

Seeing trucks doesn't mean knowing the test road, though.Quote:

On what roads were they exactly testing in the Kuhmoinen area?

I also agree with previous comments about the car, it looks really good at the moment, also the suspension has clearly improved since the videos from the first test day.

Excellent video Juha!
Here's another set of pictures from my friend: rallyphotos.kuvat.fi
Apparently King Carlos was present as well...
EDIT: And is that Lois Moya with him? http://rallyphotos.kuvat.fi/kuvat/VW...+/IMG_2682.JPG
Read somewhere that Carlos will be driving at the tests as well at some point. We´ll see.
I'd love to see that....I still giggle how good Kankunnen did when he basically just hopped in the Ford a couple of years ago.Quote:

But it's completely different thing to do media and to spectate, while shooting video you need to focus 100% to it etc. so the experience goes a bit past. Then also when doing videos, it's quite long days, getting up at 6-7am, driving 1-3 hours to the test site and then ~8 hours spectating/videoing at the test, lots of walking, maybe talking with people, getting something to eat and then driving back home, and maybe 1-2 hours of editing etc.Quote:

I guess local people thought that I was a nutcase as I was crouching on the ground twisting my head to get good view.
observations....hmmmm..
Carlos today I assume:

...zero car for what rally, perhaps?Quote:

Something has changed.
Carlos is still full of beans, he has participated with Moya in several historic rallies in Spain recently. I only hope VW don't let Moya to be part of the team, he himself could sink the project.
Even if it doesn't necessarily mean anything, it's a valid point they're testing before the rally, not after. I wouldn't mind seeing Polo WRC as a zero car in Germany, not at all.
How do you mean?Quote:
