I got a call late last night about giving a passenger ride to Giuseppe Redaelli, President of the Monza Circuit, and it was an honour to do so! Very fun to give a WRC experience in the PA Racing ŠKODA Fabia

It’s heartbreaking to see WRC titles being decided on theses stages, no matter how ‘tricky’ they can get due to the weather or how much Porter & Co insist that they’re brilliant or fascinating.

No, but it's understandable to me that he values this championship less than last year's. Of course he'll try to win it if he has an improbable chance. But even Ogier said he'll stay for another year because this one didn't feel like a proper championship.Quote:

They can of course, and normally I’m a guy who can accept both sides of an argument. But on this, I’m sorry I just think it’s total none sense to try and devalue a title through circumstances beyond anyone’s control, and it’s not like they are trying to award it after Mexico. The WEC only has 6/7 rounds, never heard anyone say that is not a WC worthy of the name.Quote:

Indeed, and who knows something about the 1995 season, knows that McRae was helped by the short season and by Sainz having to miss 1 of the 8 rounds. McRae's fame largely overshwadowed this in later years, but it's not that 1995 was such an odd season: in 1994 there were 10 rounds, in 1996 9 rounds. And in 1993, top drivers weren't yet competing for the full calendar, so 1st place Kankkunen ran 10 rounds, 2nd place Delecour 9 rounds. Not a big difference for that era.Quote:
