sad news about emil triner :( he is one of my fav. drivers...
According to Prague organizers Emil will start. Maybe it was misunderstanding because I think Emil is not really good in foreign languages.
From press release of Prague Rallysprint these are among entries:
WRC: PG Andersson, Valoušek, Pech, Triner, Sýkora, Tomaštík, Štěpánek, Drotár, Richert
S2000: Béreš jr., Tlusťák, Grzyb
Gr.N/R4: Semerád jr., Semerád sr., Orsák, Štajf, Trojan, Bujáček, Šlehofer, Landa
H: Béreš sr.
Thanks Mirek!
So it is true that DRS will have two rounds in CZ. Second one is Rally Bohemia - 13-15th July.
Mirek, lost Bohemia the champ status? In DRS are WRCs ans GTs allowed... but usually not at Bohemia -right? Or do they have a "second" rally...?Quote:

Hmmm, 6months ago i saw info about Polish Championship in Bohemia, now we have calendar for Polish Championship and i can't see your rally, maybe someone know something about this situation
There was huge fight from side of Czech crews against another round abroad. It looks like they were successful. Polish championship run in CZ was possible only if Czech championship would also be run in Poland which is understandable. In fact only very few people aside Rally Bohemia organization wanted that...
Ok, Thank you for info, i understand , it is normally but they said something (Polish Side of course) and then they didn't put this in our calendar.
In the end it looks like Pech will use Mini in Jänner. I think that it's probably because Prodrive wants to use him for real test of the car before RMC in similar conditions.
Normally there is much more snow in the Jänner Rallye than in the Monte-Carlo. The Jänner is a rally where tyre choise isn't so important compared to the RMC, while in Monte-Carlo it is in (almost) each edition very important and it decides the rally.
I don't agree ;) Sometimes there is a lot of snow in Jänner but not always. Last year only few stages were on snow, the rest was wet. In 2008 or 2009 (I think) it was completely dry etc. The biggest difference is that in Jänner narrow studded tyres are allowed. Anyway it is closest to RMC from all big events because it is asphalt/snow event. Also the stages are similar to some of those around Valence.
Monte-Carlo was completely dry, with only some ice parts in the high regions of the rally, in the most recent years that it was part of the WRC. ;)
There's a chance so it's worth the try. If u don't try u will not gain anything. I expect they will use some date from Campana too this weekend in Rally du Var. And this year there was snow in MC if u don't remember..
Please read my sentence again and you can see that I had it about when Monte-Carlo was part of the WRC.Quote:

That is quite irrelevant for weather in 2012. Weather doesn't depend on championship RMC is currently in.Quote:

What happened with Prokop?
Nothing, why? He never intended to start in Prague.
I thought that he was on the entry list, my mistake...

Happy Birthday Vaclav Pech!!! :D
Returned from SS Karlík, the only normal stage. Accidents of Šlehofer, Votava and a zero car in second run happened in same corner. It was very long right one which tightened. The surface was extra slippery there (wet with temperature close to zero). There was almost no damage to the cars but they were dug deep in the mud and a truck had to pull them out.
Anyway nothing really interesting. Very few cars and most of them very cautious. PG and Martin Semerad looked fastest.
See how slippery it was in the morning: Pra

Frank, can You tell me how did You like this action and if You would like to come again? I would like to see the opinion of foreigner who had to travel a long trip. I live in Prague, so I always go to at least on some stages but frankly if I would have to travel even let's say hundred kilometers I would not go.
the sprints all the last years are better! if they drive next year the same like this year. i dont drive to prag!!! thats the opinion of many german spectators they are in prag this year!!! strahov iss the better place for the rallysprint
the best are in the morning the two karlik stages and the two short stages in velka chuchle und then strahov!!!! ;-)
I was only in Karlík this year. Chuchle doesn't attract me at all.
Now let's wait for entry list of Slušovice and than for next years. After events like Slušovice or Uherský Brod appeared the number of crews willing to go to Prague is falling but that's just up to arrogant organization, nothing else because for sure driving in Prague is itself more interesting for everyone than somewhere in the eastern village...
Watching the onboards, just noticed that Pech was once again codriven by Topolánek in Prague like usually. Nice spin by Semerad there on SS1, kinda slippery... Lot's of krize. :)
