Deserved victory for Matteo Gamba on Istra Rally. Second was Luca Cantamessa. With this result they have confirmed my arguments that top Italian drivers are also always capable to win anywhere in the Europe, they are not yust unbeatable on their home stages!! :up:

Yes vino , Istra is a historical Croatian region which has been under foreing influence through most of its history . It has been added to Croatia ( then Yugoslavia ) after the WW2 . It was under great Italian influence ( especially between WW1 - WW2 , when fascists had a strong italianisation in there ) , and today is a part of it's culture . It's also definately the most motorsport-friendly part of Croatia . Also there is a Slovenian part of Istra ( cities Izola and Koper )

Finnish national championship is sliding into a recession for the 2011 season. Many renowned drivers are going to drop out from the series. These include FWD category regulars Vesa Hirvonen (switching to rallycross) and very promising Anssi Tawast (civil life/financial aspects for reason).
Main 4WD category, SM1 is also losing some guys. Kosti Katajamäki and Marko Kakko are leaving the series. Jani Salomaa and Tommi Luostarinen are also wondering what does the series give to them and is it worth taking part.
Not looking good...
