That's a good point actually... Maybe torque split issue still or just diff controller?
Something mechanical?

Fastest driver today - Thierry Neuville - https://rally-base.com/2018/rallye-m...8/?ssGroupId=7
What a start to this season! Great rally, enjoying the whole event.
About Mr.Perfect-Ogier: I've imagined that he will be so superior. After last year's Neuville's "gift" I was convinced that the place on a podium will be a success for Ogier. Indeed he is on podium, but on on the 1st place. And so convincingly, he just won few stages, but those, where the conditions were really bad...and he made a big lap compare to others. The drive of a multiple champion. Nothing more to say.
Toyota boys: a real contenders for the championship. Tanak impressed.
Latvala less, but still he will show his "muscles" already in Sweden. Lappi-also remarkable. Mistake on the PS will be forgotten soon.
Meeke-big dissapointmet, except points at the end.
Hyundai-rally to forget.....but there is always a team, who can not be happy with the result. Still nothing lost. Future looks bright for them.
That's the mercurial speed Meeke has. Pulled a fastest time from nowhere, Neuville and Mikkelsen not sure what hit them in that power stage! I'm sure Meeke can barely believe he's ended up with 17pts from this weekend despite the performance. Still, a worry for the c3 on very bumpy and slippery tar. Same problems as last year here....
Lappi unlucky to lose 3 places but small mistakes have cost him. On the whole though Toyota will be delighted, he has again shown massive potential and it was a superb performance from the whole team. Jari and Tanak will be championship contenders and my money is on one of the two winning in Sweden, considering all the testing they've already done and knowing the car suits those roads. Tanak just keeps getting better and better!
As for Seb, once again he shows he's the master. Maybe not the fastest driver anymore if you put all the drivers head to head over a single stage shootout, but over the course of a whole rally he's by far the cleverest and that's why he's still favourite for the title. Absolutely brilliant when the conditions were at their most difficult this weekend, and he managed the rally brilliantly from Thursday night onwards.
Can't wait for Sweden!

Great job by Ogier, apart from that ditch excursion really smart drive by him.
Also great job by Toyota, didn't expect that! No technical problems and all drivers drove well, shame for Lappi's mistake at the end, but at least he didn't DNF because of that. Tanak already impressive and Latvala with a mature and smart drive.
Good job by Meeke also. Bad start for Hyundai, but they showed speed, really a shame for the 4 minutes loss by Neuville on SS1.

Points standings after Monte - http://www.autosport.cz/souteze/bodovani.php?id=121
By the way Kopecký has a birthday today.
BTW, do you remember any event with 70 penalties (more than crews on start)? - https://rally-base.com/2017/rallye-m...-2017/penalty/
Okay, Ogier won his home event but continues with small mistakes which will cost him in the next rallies. Neuville - very fast with this heavy understeering car and he was actually pretty solid. His off in the first day was not a big mistake but this is Monte.
Mikelsen had absolutely no idea what he is doing this weekend, a miracle he reached the finish somehow! Breen and Meeke - a total tragedy and complaining all the time. So many childish mistakes and low concentration. The car can't be that bad, actually it looks quite balanced and smooth compared to Toyota and Hyundai.
Lappi spent so many years in ERC he now gets exhausted after 200km. Drives good indeed in the first 1-2 days but still can't trust him.
Buff had never driven so powerful car before and he is grown enough to know you should not disappoint people who make you a big present. Also there's no need to push when Ogier and Evans are still above you.
This is 2018 list, muuuuuch longer: https://rally-base.com/2018/rallye-m...-2018/penalty/
does somebody know, is the 2019 edition of rally monte carlo again based in gap. if I remember correctly there was a discussion of going back to valance and the ardeche region.

Haha crazier indeed, first time I see someone do this. Gotta check the suggested clips on the right too :D
The Belgian co-driver came back on this incident, as well as on those who enamelled the race of their rival Sébastien Ogier, who has the flair to always go to the fault "in the good place".
"We were trapped at the outset in a very delicate part, but it is very important to score points on each event, so we are happy to have achieved this goal, said Nicolas Gilsoul at the microphone. Olivier Gaspard, the RTBF's special correspondent in the south of France, we were also able to show our speed and consistency afterwards, which bodes well for the rest of the championship. Sebastien Ogier rally? No, it's NOT his rally, he made more dumplings than us, with all the respect I have for Julien (Ingrassia, his co-driver, Ed) and Sébastien. There are two peeled and three sheared, one of which holds his GoPro instead of pushing the car, and when it happens to him, there are fifty spectators and they come right away. good time !"
