Andreas Mikkelsen to drive TRT for Škoda Italia: http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=11920
Strange decision of Skoda, maybe they were very disappointed by their last season? Travaglia or Basso for CIR would be a better option, Mikkelsen is a worse driver and TRT is less prestigious than CIR.
I don't agree that Mikkelsen is worse driver. And AFAIK they wanted to have Rossetti in CIR...
So this strange decision from Rox to chose to stay in Abarth :p :
We don't know anything behind - conditions, relations, offers...
By the way, have a look at Ronde del Grifo Arzignano entrylist http://www.rallyarzignano.it/doc2011/Elenco.pdf
Therefore that's NOT a big rally, but a single "ronde"(one stage run four times)...entrylist WRC and R3 is simply crazy
I wonder what Grifone plans with Mini, is it for Corrado Fontana maybe in European Championship, or for CIR?
It is quite a big rally actually . It's a part of the highly popular IRS series which gathers great entry lists every rally . It is organized by Campedelli senior I believeQuote:

Me also can not agree with statement of Mikkelsen beeing a worse driver. Maybe Skoda realized after last year adventure with Kopecky in CIR that it is hard to compete against top Italian drivers, which know domestic stages better than their apartments.....Quote:

Andrea Navarra will be in Rally Adriatico next week with that Mini!Quote:

Hopefully some budget for some IRC or ERC events!Quote:

After first stage (actually the second, as the first was as wwbroe said cancelled) already a solid lead by Andreucci. Rossetti lost five seconds, others are already more than 10 seconds behind. Perego with Mini is for the moment very carefully.....
Rox fights back! Only by 0,5s, but win is a win :-)
Third Scanodla is already over 20s back (from Ucci). Perego still rather slow, but this is first rally (or am I wrong?) of this car.
SS4 Ciocco running ;) go Ucci
Tight fight between Ucci&Roxy, yust second between them on 4th stage.....I hope Cunico will solve his brake problems, as he really impressed me so far......Quote:

What was the reason of retirement for Caldani?
I have never heard of the French driver that is leading the Clio R3 Trofeo.
Fraymouth comes from Corsica and apparently is a promising young driver ;)
His aim is to run in french championship in a Citroën DS3 R3(that is not finished to be prepared yet)
Thanks, Tom.
He must be very promising if he is leading R3 in Italy :)
Yes, and last year Perego was waaay faster than Angrisani, when they were both driving group N Mitsubishis. I'm sure he has to adapt to his new car and we can expect better things from him.Quote:

Nice picture..
Exactly , that's why it's so weird . However it must be said that Perego hasn't driven a proper racing car for years :)Quote:

Yep, in some angles it really is a nice car. :)Quote:

Hope to see a lot more from this car and also hope a lot of S2000 will be adopted with new motor.
Ucci did a mistake on Noi TV this morning at Ciocco and lost half of his advantage over Rox :s
I see you understand what I mean ;)Quote:

Oh yes, Chentre is really pushing hard. He was second on SS7, SS8 and SS9. He is now only 2 seconds behind Scandola!

Fantastic best time for Chentre 3"3 ahead of Ucci on the penultimate stage of Ciocco !!! He reinforces his 3rd position ahead of Scandola :bounce:
Convinced and deserved win for Paolo Andreucci&Anna Andreussi at Ciocco! Rossetti's second place was expected, but in the future he could have troubles on the tarmac with Chentre and on the gravel with young Scandola.
About others: the old guy Cunico is still pushing very hard, Perico will be definitely a man to watch, on the other hand I'm disappointed with both Mezzogori and Griotti with new Megan RS.....Clio's R3 are very much faster, not to mention evoX.....
