I understand what Tomi means but still think it's more about particular driver and particular car than general rule. Of course the lower top speed is disadvantage in Finland but there are other advantages which are bigger in my opinion (our roads have similar average speed to Finnish). The other point is if they are big enough for the price...

It's quite complicated in my opinion.
Every car has some disadvantages which are more or less important in particular events. You can choose what suits You more for Your plans. It's always about some compromises.
However strong group N car is useless against S2000 in mediterranean tarmac events (proved by Spanish 400 Hp super gr.N cars in Asturias) while on fast gravel or snow gr.N cars have some chance. If You don't need to drive those former roads, You can choose gr.N car and still be somehow in the game, in opposite case You have no chance.
Also technically it's not just about using longer final drive. It would lead to lower acceleration and probably result in even worse times (due to narrow power bend). S2000 would need 7th gear for rallys like NORF but it's not allowed by the rules.
Let's drivers choose what's better for them and their season campaign ;)
I agree longer box is no solution the car becomes more lazy, but what i mean is that after every straight comes usually a corner, now when the cars approach on the restrictor, I belive it will fade away much of the skill differences of the drivers aswell, because too muich time to prepaire.Quote:
