Why was Andreucci excluded?
The crew made up of Paolo Andreucci and Francesco Pinelli was disqualified from the final classification of the Rally San Marino for an alleged technical irregularity in the engine of the Citroen C3 R5.
The Garfagnino thus loses the third place won in yesterday's test, behind the duo Bulacia - Campedelli. The Board of Stewards decides to exclude from the classification of the 48th San Marino Rally the car no.1 of the competitor Paolo Andreucci, due to the technical non-conformity of the car reported in the report 3 of the Technical Delegate. In particular: passage of air inlet flange.
Andreucci's response was not long in coming, and he will appeal: “We are sorry for what happened at the San Marino Rally. We are sure that everything will be clarified during the appeal phase, as we have already explained to the commissioners. The flange was measured and found to be regular, but the car could not be turned off with a method that we define as questionable. It is regrettable that this exclusion, in addition to being able to compromise our championship, causes considerable damage, as well as image, also economic, because both the car owned by Team Prt, and the engine owned by Fpf Sport, have been made available of the commissioners for further checks, following our communication to appeal. We appreciate that our total good faith has been understood and we hope that the necessary checks will be made as soon as possible, so as to clarify everything and unlock the car to allow the team to make the rentals already scheduled. "
Daniele Ceccoli and Piercarlo Capolongo were then promoted to third place in Hyundai I20 R5.

Rally San Martino (Championato Italiano WRC), looking at the enty list you get the impression that Italy has Škoda Fabia R5 Cup:

Rally Targa Florio official entrylist has been published today, but I wonder if there are some mistakes
Several drivers usually using this year 208 R2s are written to drive 208 Rally 4 on entrylist
after 3 stages Crugnola (won all stages) have 4,3 sec advantage from Basso

Crugnola won,Basso 3rd.
3 last stages didnt run as of too much rain if i understood correct

Indeed, due to heavy rain organizers decided to cancel last two stages (SS 8&), because the local roads become very slippery when it rains.
Crungola won 5x stages and showed, that in the moment he is the fastest in Italia. I must say I'm disappointed over Basso's performance, I've never imagine that he will have problems with Crungola in C3.
But on the other hand it is nice to have someone else leading the championship.....
Speaking for somebody new: in 2WD class "The Legend" Paolo Andreucci convincingly showed young drivers, that he is (still) the Nb.1, regardless of the class in which he takes part of....
It is still Basso who leads the championship:

but I think it won't last long...
Rally Adriatico for gravel Italian championship
Ucci and Cambedelli fighting very close. Bulacia was on par with Ucci(fastest till ss 2) but something delayed him at ss 3.
