On the replay vid it was clear that the tractor was inside the chicane when they arrived and then moved off.

No interference from the tractor or it's position after Mikkelsen exited the chicane. A surprise and a shock I'm sure but probably a kangaroo running in front of the car would've been more problematic than that or passing a striken car. Had to try and remain focused instead of chucking the car off the road.

Nothing compared to what David Higgins faced years ago :D

Clearly it's the driver himself that put the car off the road.
That said crashed cars are normal on rally stages all over the world. Kangaroos are normal on rally stages in AUS.
Tractors in the middle of the chicane are not.
