If I recall there were some negotiations between organizers of Arctic and Eurosport few years back but after all the Finns were not interested. Something in my head tells me it was because they wanted to keep WRC cars in and also because of the Pirelli-only deal for FRC...

He is still very young so a big progress is possible. Also this rally is rather specific and there are plenty of drivers who are superfast once per season but hardly anywhere else. We will see next time.

It's nice to see so many different nationalities in top 10 of the rally! Another interesting tip is that Lappi has started in 5 ERC rallies and has 3 wins (Liepaja 2014, Switzerland 2013, Poland 2012), 1 second place (San Remo 2013) and 1 accident (Barum 2013)!

No Pirelli deal anymore + some changees inthe management of ASN (not enough though). So it might b possible now...

Did enough to win the event, what else is needed? That is the way to win a championship, you need to win just by 1sec, not 10min. And I was under the inpression that road conditions on day 1 played a huge part[/quote]

It doesn't prove he is WRC material I agree, but shows maturity not to push too much but just to do enough to guarantee maximum points

I completely agree.

Rally Liepaja was again a nice event and I think the next ERC event will be great too. :)
