Anthony Cosson will discover the Peugeot 208 R2 on the same event...
For the victory overall, no less that two Minis WRC :p :
Anthony Cosson is currently testing the PH Sport 208 R2(as preparation to the french cup)at the Rallye de la Vienne... ;)
He's 6th overall after six stages(he set several times the 3rd absolute best times!!)
The Mini WRC drivers Pierre Roché and Philippe Taffoneau are the two overall leaders so far...

I think he is the oldest guy to win a rally in France, with the Rallye de Picardie 2012.
Barbara celebrated his 50 years in rallying recently (last year?) :DQuote:

Return of Guerlain Chichérit !!! He will drive a Mini WRC on the roads of rallye terre des Causses(gravel) in april... ;)
Is the first round of the Citroen Racing Trophy on this weekend ? If so any links ?
No, this season no Citroën Racing Trophy in Touquet(first round of tarmac championsip) :mark:
First round in Lyon-Charbonnières(by mid april) ;)
But Touquet is first round of the Renault trophies(Twingo R2 and R1) and the best link is http://www.patricksoft.fr/ for the results ;)

Cédric Robert was disturbed by Jean-Charles Beaubelique on SS3(passing him in stage)explaining why he lost 12" on Stéphane Lefèbvre :(
Broken gearbox for Cédric Robert(retirement) ;(
Wow, very impressed by the 208 R2 on the first stages of Touquet.
very fast indeed!!
some of the R1s also quick compared on hp/ weight ratio with the rest of the field.

Go Brunson ! Good race for Roche too. Not fault, not so slow ... Lemonnier is doing great race too ! And of course Lefebvre :) And good come back of Mordacq !
What happened to Cedric Robert?

Unlucky Stéphane Lefèbvre !!!!! He went off in a field on SS9(as many other drivers), but on the only place where there was a tractor, and hit it/crashed/broke a wheel on it(retirement) !!!! :s ;(
Big battle for 2nd position on Rallye Pays du Gier between Ivan Ballinari and Sébastien Carron(while Grégoire Hotz is leading) :)
The first four crews are from Switzerland(swiss championship), and the first french driver is Arnaud Monnet, 5th overall... ;)
Florian Gonon is leading the VHC field :)
Eric Brunson took his 4th victory in Touquet, beating Cuoq in his C4WRC. Mourin finished fourth after he lost more then 4 minutes with a flat tyre. Good that Brunson is back in French championship.

Back from a nice Rallye le Touquet. There were some good battles between the drivers, pitty that so many had to retire... Some nice surprises, like Charles Martin who competed with a Peugeot 208 R2 for the first time, and was quite close to Robert and Lefebvre, before those 2 retired. Also I had a lot of fun watching the Twingo R1's, the cars aren't the fastest, but they are giving it all, it's just great to see!

You can find here classifications of various championships which were present in Rallye Le Touquet :
Tarmac : eWRC-results.com - Season 2013 rally
Amator : eWRC-results.com - Season 2013 rally
Twingo R2 : eWRC-results.com - Season 2013 rally

I have to underline the extraordinary race done by Axel Garcia in Junior Championship ! Only 4 rallies in his life, first time here, without any experience from these roads and these conditions ... and he finished 2nd in Junior champ, with good times, and reliability ! Compared to Bernardi who is doing is 3rd year ... Nice victory for Defert too, who is doing his 2nd year.

Grégoire Hotz won the Rallye Pays du Gier ahead of Sébastien Carron and Nicolas Althaus ;)
Ivan Ballinari retired for "personnal reason"
