Actually I can do that. My colleagues in Sweden are measuring the depth of snow all winter long and they have done analysis how the length, beginning date, ending date and maximum date of snow cover has changed :-) So, the database actually exists, but you are right, it takes too much effort to find answer for LR :-)

i dont know during the rally but the highest snow depth ever measured in Värmland is 180cm which was in late March 1951.

1985 when Ari Vatanen won in his Peugeot 205 was a year with much snow. Dont know if it was worst year but certainly one of them.

Seeing the videos of the Rally Finnskogsvalsen this weekend around Torsby it looks really like perfect winter conditions. Its not far from the area of Rally Sweden.

Indeed, although for Sweden I think the better drivers are in the Skoda, so if the Ford guys can keep up with them it will show it is on top already.

Yes, I would say Mikkelsen in the exception, and maybe for Sweden only Tuohino although he was pretty slow in the 207 in Finland last year.

My guess is that Andersson and Hänninen drives for the win, Tuohino even that he is not so fast anymore, has always been good on snow will be third, while the rest is propably "still learning the car".

Hopefully the snow and ice sole under the snow is good enough for the gravel not to play a role !

After Mountain rally Eivind Brynildsen said he was alot on the rev limiter, the car topped 174 kmh.. Sweden is a much faster rallly, i hope there is a longer gearbox they can change to, or they will be blubbing at the limit a lot of the time in sweden the s2000 boys..
