17 FA7 Williams .... nice :)
I think Kubica wins this one on cruising mode
I also like those cars very much. Did you notice that one of them will be driven by a top Italian driver from a few years ago, Luca Cantamessa?Quote:

Not a great first start in S2000 for Kubica !!! Looks like he crashed on SS1 rally di Andora this morning :s
Yes, he is in the hospital. This can be his last rally in this year......
I hope not! :(Quote:

But first of all I wish him a fast recovery. News are not good and talks about several fractures.
According to the last news Robert suffered several fractures. After the crash he was conscious, his co-driver is unhurt.

german mediaīs too. they even say the hand is so extrmely damaged, that the doctors think about a amputation of the hand... :(
That doesn't sound so good, hopefully it is not so serious. Let's hope for some good news soon.
Not good news indeed :( . I hope the best for him.
I've got info:
Co-drive has got broken finger....
Just saw a very disturbing video in Youtube which was a collection of photos... Kubica was intubated which is not a very good sign imho... :(

I read on Italian websites that it was on 4,6th kilometer of the stage in a town of Testico. You can see on a map that it is in stage: http://www.rallyshots.it/RST/docs/ro...ra11/mappa.jpg

SAVONA - Robert Kubica is now undergoing surgery at the hospital Santa Corona in Pietra Ligure. Doctors are taking action on the Polish, whose conditions are serious but not enough to threaten the survival metterene, and issued a medical report to the intervention ended, at around 14: for now we know for sure that the pilot reported "multiple trauma" In particular to a leg (probably to the femur), and arm and right hand. Poland, the father insists, however, in pointing out that the 26 year old is not life threatening.
While waiting for a clear picture of the situation, let's recap what happened to the unfortunate bearer of the Lotus Renault GP: around 8:35, few kilometers after the start of the first special stage of the Ronde of Andover, Kubica lost control in a sudden Joint-fast, in San Lorenzo, in the municipality of Testico, undergoing a violent impact. As the navigator Jakub Gerber is immediately released from the cockpit without consequence, Kubica is trapped in the Skoda Fabia S2000, timely medical attention and firefighters, who estrettato the former bishop of the BMW with all the necessary precautions . Kubica was flown by helicopter to the hospital Santa Corona in Pietra Ligure.
When I look closely on the photo I think I can see cut rollcage (main rollbar and it's diagonals) to evacuate driver in seat through rear door. You know that main rollbar is cca in the middle of the rear door in Fabia...Quote:

Look at the driver's door's front edge. Looks like it's been pierced by a guardrail...
For me those tarmac rallies is far more dangerous than anything. Car can be out of handle in just a 0,001 sec. And the conseqvensies are then far worse. I know this sounds a bit naiv, but Iīve always looked att tarmacrallies as potential death.
Letīs hope RK not suffers and will be back soon!

This sounds a bit more positive. They quote Leszek Kuzaj who is said to be in permanent contact with Jakub Gerber (besides Kubica also Kuzaj's co-driver). Kuzaj told newspaper that the information about possible hand amputation is unreasonable. He confirmed fractures of legs and said that Robert is currently undergoing various examinations to find possible internal injuries such as magnetic-resonance.

This is unconfirmed information but Mauro Moreno had said that a guardrail had penetrated Kubica's leg.Quote:
