What a sad stage was SS4 for Finns. Both Latvala and Huttunen (in WRC2) were clearly fastest and would had led WRC and WRC2. But then both had puncture. Hope they can keep good pace also during afternoon. Lappi should get his brake problem solved.
.
even Ogier is doing virtual championship, haha!
I am actually looking forward to rain. Spanish tarmac can give some boring results since the stages are so similar the stage results are often the same stage after stage. Off course it's not good if some people drive the stage dry and some wet, but as long as conditions are somewhat similar its good for following the rally.
Almost nobody tested on wet tarmac lately (only Latvala did) which will make it even more interesting.
Michel and Suarez also in trouble.
Huttunen had a puncture and broken diff
Blimey, those VWs are quick. This doesn't bode well for Hyundai, Citroen or MSport sales...
They are and the car is also good for sure, but they are also piloted by fast drivers. Huttunen with an i20 R5 was faster than Neuville in the SS4 second split, leading its category before puncturing.
Well, I would not talk of Camilli as a fast driver...
In WRC2 he was very promising before his failed 2016 WRC season, one argument, why Wilson put him in the WRC in the first place. In WRC2 2017, he was 2., but very competitive, had some wins etc. And most definitely VW also wouldn`t hire him for a one-off show-promo event, if he wasn`t up to it. They have pilots available in VAG, including last years champion Tidemand.
