A very disjointed race, for once maybe the race would have been better without rain. Still congratulations to Fernadno Alonso for winning and taking the championship lead. Mark Webber blew it and then Renault blew it for Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton drove well but I don't think his mistake into turn 1 at the restart cost him chance of victory as he was completely unable to match Alonso's pace towards the end of the race.
Is that you Tazio?Quote:

Webber basically needs to win at least one of the remaining GP's, and finnish infront of Alonso in the other.
I honestly cannot see either Vettel or Hamilton winning it from here unless Alonso DNF's one of the final races.
I can tolerate Alonso as champion, as long as it's by +7 points!
Which is possible. Nothing is sure yet, absolutely nothing. This championship is a thriller.
I don't think he actually dropped back, technically. I think that impression was the result of the safety car telling cars to pass etc. I think the gap was as a result of putting everyone in order. And I don't think there was any advantage gained.Quote:

Fair play to Button for admitting it wasn't clever tactics to come in for inters when he did as he had no choice as had used up all his wets.
EJ says that McLaren needs Jenson to play support for Lewis and they have to bring in team orders, but is that really necessary as it doesn't seem there is much pressure from Button onto Hamilton anyway.
how about championship standings with the medal system ? :p
