2010 Cars, teams, drivers

Has Abarth closed down the hole rally team?? I can`t remember hearing about that, but did not follow s2000 or rally news so closely last year. What about their driwers Alen etc.. I know Gardemeister drive one in MC but that was private..???

Abarth didn't have real team already last year. Their "works" cars were run by private teams Grifone and Procar. It will be similar with Rossetti this year. He is the only driver which has 2010 deal with Abarth. Alén is free now. He is trying to get a seat in Proton (at least).

Gardemeister was driving for Astra racing which was also partly funding the start. They used car from D'Ambra. It wasn't connected to Abarth anyhow.

Basso has offers from all around, I don't think that a driver of his skills will be seen in a Proton just yet ;)

Yes Pluto. Magalhães will go to Brazil, Argentina, Azores and Madeira. Sardegna could be an option but Peugeot Portugal never mentioned that they wanted to go there.
The other rallys could be Asturias and Sanremo.

The R3T, and the racing models - sad but true. But of course it has with number of cars you can sell, to make money.
The R3T category if it kicks off, costs way less than the S2000 - anyone that know the price ?

Intercontinental Rally Challenge promoter Eurosport will broadcast more events live during this season following the success of its Monte Carlo Rally coverage.

The viewing figures over the week were 70 per cent up on the rally's 2009 numbers, peaking with more than one million people watching Thursday's live SS9 - which was won by Sebastien Ogier.

A total of 12 million viewers watched the rally across Eurosport and Eurosport2

"We are very happy with our pioneering live coverage of this epic event," said Eurosport Events managing director Geraldine Filiol.

"The unprecedented audience figures reinforce the appeal of the IRC and we look forward to continuing our approach over the rest of the season."

The next round of the IRC takes place at Curitiba in Brazil, from Marhc 4-6, alongside the World Touring Car Championship opener at the same venue.
