After a few 2nd best times it was nice to see a stage win for Jon Armstrong in the M-Sport Fiesta.
It would've been good to see where he'd be overall without the puncture yesterday.
I like Ingram's character, attitude and drive a lot either, but if he strugles even to win British championship, how can he dream about a Rally1 drive? Fourmaux won this championship without any problems last year...

Hafod is now pretty wet, second loop should be interesting! Looks like Bethania will have some rain too
ohhh maaaan, just woke up (south american here) to see ingram has crashed out. thats aaahhh nooo, crap :( what a bummer.
tnx for sharing the FB link haha woke up to discover that twitter is now blocked in Brasil. cant see links haha. the supreme court is fighting elon musk over something, now we have no twitter and starlink internet on the rain forest. 9k dolars fine if u use vpn. jeeez
A great performance by Jon Armstrong. I think he would've been 2nd overall without losing that minute with a puncture yesterday.
Do I have this right?
I think Franceschi gets 21 points for 3rd overall + 1 for 5th in the PS, bringing him to 104 for the season to date.
Paddon gets 30+5 bringing him to 131.
If they both drop their lowest score, Paddon would (so far) drop 7 and Franceschi 0.
So I reckon Franceschi needs to beat Paddon by 21 points in Silesia to overtake him, assuming Paddon gets at least 7.
I am not at all confident about this maths.
I think you are right. My calculations are the same.
With one exception - how many points Paddon will have to drop is not known yet. It will be known after Rally Silesia.
Drivers count their best seven scores from a possible eight. Details here:

British Rally Championship @BRCrally
BREAKING...
Jon Armstrong and Eoin Treacy have checked in late into the podium control meaning they will drop to second in the BRC and not dent their ERC finish.
This provisionally promotes stablemates William Creighton and Liam Regan to the BRC Round 6 win - their first outright BRC win - and more importantly, gives them a stronger position in the BRC points standings.
kohn is erc3 champ and johansson is both erc4 and erc-jr champ
ahhhhhh crap. max win is good but he cannot get the title anymore
maan what a crap day for my favorites. max lost a title, ingram crashed out, armstrong dsq! aaaaaaaaaah

"BRC Standings:
Creighton 96
Ingram 95
Pryce 78
Cronin 75
It goes to the Cambrian… #BRC #BRCRally"
Yes, and Jon is back at it on his little alt account
I'm an M-Sport fan, but parachuting in Jon Armstrong to score the BRC Teams points was already rather petty in their battle with the Castrol MEM Team.
I think the Ingrams are a lot pettier.
What was the feedback regards the event? Did the Europeans like the roads and has there been much kickback re the cancelled/red flagged stages? Seems to be an issue with UK closed roads although obviously not as unfortunate as the NW Stages earlier this year. Looking enviously at some of the footage on YT over the weekend and seeing where people could get access to will certainly be on my agenda for 2025.
I didnt hear a bad word about anything. The stages seemed to get re-started fairly quickly after crashes and there were no issues with fans.
Many of the International drivers were highly complimentary about the roads, the organisation and even the scenery.
One said: "I am a big fan, I have to say. The people are lovely too and seem to have a heart for rallying. It's a privilege to drive on these incredible roads. I've never seen anything like it if I'm being honest."
Obviously a good event for photographers :)

I've resisted saying anything, but it isn't just internet trolling. Jon was out on the stages on Saturday telling random spectators that Paddon will/should be investigated, hasn't shown this form all season, had just got back from Italy with a special engine upgrade... It was comical to hear of this kind of mixture of old school rallying tittle-tattle and real life internet trolling in person, actually coming from someone who's reputation proceeds them, but also quite odd! I don't think he's doing Chris any favours in this regard, really. Rallying is a very small bubble...
Somehow, this doesn't surprise me. Everyone knows what he's been doing with his alt account, even Milliner and the Head of the WRC Promoter has commented on his post once. He has even given away his phone number to someone. As you said, the rallying world is small, and I am sure it's not doing him any favours at all. His and his dads behaviour on social media would be a big turn off for me
so cool reading that stuff. never heard anything about that haha humans are weird, eh. give erc a netflix show NOW! haha jk
Three best drivers in ERC on a walk, wondering - who will grab the title in Silesia? ;)
