Maybe modern rally drivers have clause in their contract, no testing in bad weather.
Maybe M-Sport doesn't have budget to wash the car, so no testing in bad weather.
Maybe this was first time their hi-tech wipers actually worked?

And I wonder if he didn't use them in Monte or Sweden just to clean the windscreen? Or if he meant that he hadn't driven in wet conditions with wipers working all the time, then this is even more strange for me. How different can it be from previous years... Very strange.
it would be better if M-Sport give Rally2 Cars to its "Works"Drivers and only give the real car to real drivers (Loeb) would save them a lot of money and the results would be almost the same...
SS1 Chris Ingram 2nd fastest in WRC2.
What kind of s**t live is this.
lol, stage is running and LIVE shows service park webcam
WRC+ should also do PET's..
They literally cut from perfectly working cam on Evans' car back to service
Man Tänak and Breen already so far back time wise
Not a bad time from Fourmaux
Loubet with a puncture again?
Loubet travelling slowly
huge disappointment for Loubet.. seems like another (3rd) puncture on SS2
any point to continue? better to save budget for other event?
Massive puncture risk for later starters too. Minefield
So slippery. Thierry with a great save and all over the place
I don't think there's anything to do in this kind of "tricky conditions". Remember that this kind of live footage from a moving car in the mountains/forest is quite extraordinary in the first place. Strong wind and clouds interfere with the wireless signal from car to transmitter plane.
It's a different thing if we get "Heartbeat error" or something, it's just bad engineering with their website / background services.
SS3 time better by Breen, at least in the ballpark of the top two.
Evans activated stage mode, fastest on split 1 by 1.7s
Also nice time from Tänak
Fourmaux crash
Fourmaux off.
The same place where Neuville had a moment
Lost the rear and went trough a hedge...
Hybrid boost off the line maybe didnt help Fourmaux.
Evans shows his true pace.
Where the hell that suddenly came from Evans
Nice job
What a privilege that house owner has
An expensive rally car in your front yard the whole day
Still grates that Msport could've had a stronger team for their new car, yet literally showed no ambition and took the money instead.
Greenslow back to his usual and Fourmaux can't buy a clean rally.
Kalle with a moment or two...
They should have Breen and Mikkelsen as the two safe pts scorers for the full season. Can both be in and around podium places on a fair few events, and maybe Breen can challenge for a win in Ypres/ Finland.
Then the other car should be Loeb for his 4 events (beg him to do more), shared with other drivers like Meeke for a few events, maybe Suninen for 1 or 2 etc. Basically drivers who will drive the arse out of the car in their favourite events and give us some excitement / maybe challenge for a win with superb road position. That would give Ford proper publicity, like in Monte. Remember Ford are heavily backing this car/ hybrid era, this isn't hard up Msport being hung out to fend for themselves.
Greensmith should be doing a Loubet as a full pay driver outside of a manufacturer team. Fourmaux is sadly feeling the pressure, I had high hopes for him but let's hope he improves.
These wet muddy stages should suit Breen... very like Ireland.
Very good stage times from Chris Ingram - better than Gryazin, Kajto, Lefebvre, Camili, Huttunen, Lindholm...
you are a bit arsh on Greensmith, so far he is still faster than Solberg, Katsuta and Evans...
Tanak lost time to Breen on the wetter road.
Massive loss for Ott in the second half of the stage
Only 1.9 secs in front of Breen now
