SS14 canceled for safety reasons.
The rally is fine, just the weather conditions made more of a lottery and pretty dangerous (even yesterday) as Lehus said.
The problem with rallying... Look at this corner, reasonably long straight into 90 left, spectators stood completely across the road ahead! It'd be one thing if it were happening out of sight, but this happens in full view of the live broadcasting helicopter, which the idiots all wave at... Thankfully nothing happened, and while I can't speak for Hungary, in many countries if something had happened questions would be asked how the organisers turned a blind eye to this, particularly when it was so close to the start of the stage.
First car there at 8m45s: https://youtu.be/03SnK9KH7oQ?t=525
Same spot shown at the start from 6m14 onwards, for about a minute...
Yes, I noticed this place as well. That was complete fail of the safety plan and also of the safety stewards to leave it as it was. Why do they pass the stage before?
Points scoring is so complicated - day points, overall points, dropped scores...
Ingram still doesnt know what he needs !
FIA ERC @FIAERC
Lukyanuk safely through. If things stay the same, Ingram would win the championship by... 1 point :disturb:
Leg 2 positions are still close though...
https://rally-base.com/2019/rally-hu...9/?ssGroupId=5
the best six results count so we have before de rally: Ingram 135-0-12=123p and Lukyanuk 107-0-3=104p
after the rally :Ingram 123+15+6=144p and Lukyanuk 104+25+14=143p
I hope the calculation are all right
Onboard Devine SS8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOcaY3LRdPU
The whole second half of the onboard is useless to watch. The windscreen in front of the camera is completely foggy.
Lukyanuk could take 6sec off Herzig on the final stage and gain an extra point.
Equal scores has already happened in WorldRX today !!
I considered that Lukynuk would take maximum points here
Thunder and lightning now... what a finale.
Been a while since I've listened to Rally Radio... Oh, the good old days! Signal lost as soon as an interview comes. :D
No way... Ingram puncture. :(
Oh shit it's gone?
Total chaos - Lukyanuk stopped to chg puncture too !
Oh my god, unbelievable! Lukyanuk too, stopped to change it!
Lukyanuk also puncture...
Lukyanuk asked to describe his season, one word, "Shit".
Ingram win the championship...what a rally
Man, they need to simplify this scoring system...
This is ridiculous.
You can't make this up. What a crazy finale :D
At least Ross knows what's going on!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease sort this out FFS !
This has to be the most crazy title decider ever :D
Lukyanuk 104+18+8=130p
Ingram 123+12+6=141p
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ingram is the champ !!!!
EDIT: Timing error...
Anyway great performance by Cais :)

Ryan Champion @Ryan_Champion
Unf**kbelievable! Rarely does the underdog succeed in world motorsport.
Today, not only did the underdog succeed, they won the European Rally Championship!
To @ChrisIngramGB @RossWhittock @toksportwrt and to @CarFinance247 the biggest congratulations, you made it happen!
What a crazy crazy end to a crazy crazy rally! Very well done to every crew who finished, because this might have been one of the toughest rallies in a while. Congrats to Ingram and Whittock, they are great talent and hopefully this opens up many doors for them. Also commiserations to the Alexeys, they had some torrid luck this season, but hopefully next year they can bounce back. Well done to Habaj and Dymurski too, as this season I think he was truly driving very very well!
And a big shoutout to Frici and Laci for winning, they had a very very bad season with a lot of bad luck, but this might make them forget all about those bad moments. :) Well done to Devine too, great debut!
I'm very sorry I could not be there, but unfortunately I picked up a concussion and a broken skull about two weeks ago, so the doctors didn't allow it... But I was very happy to have met Pluto before the rally. Hopefully next year I can attend more than one ERC round to make up for it :)

@Fast Eddie WRC: with all the respect (regarding your quote for Ingram 2023 WRC champ), but Ingram hasn't showed something special in this season. He won the title with huge amount of luck(no victory!!l), Luky is way faster than him (and we all know where is Luky compare to the WRC top drivers), so I hope you wrote this just as a joke....anyway-congrats to Ingram.
Thats from his website, his journey and ambition.
