Tänak asked Martin in the end if the rear hatch was open.
What's up with Neuville's time?
Suninen saying he's with hard tyres and everyone else probably with mediums, saving the hards...
Sordo already hit a stone and a little damage
Lappi with a tyre off the rim and he instantly lost his confidence
Catching up with the SD live stream, it was good to hear Gus Greensmith so happy with the Mk2 Fiesta R5 and see him faster than Rovanpera.

Jari-Matti Latvala saying the rear wing regulation was changed so that now the 30 mm overhang will be measured from the car's road car equivalent, not from the rear bumper of World Rally Car.
Apart from that vague Suninen comment, do we know what drivers took the medium's/hards?

Last year 10th place (Ogier) lost to first (Tänak) 20min+. For Tänak-Neuville-Ogier only disaster is retirement (without Rally2). Otherwise they probably are on good points anyway. Team-mates sacrificed, if needed.

Järveoja sayin the shakedown road is actually one of the worst on this rally, and tomorrow the longest stage is the worst, at least last year it was, the organizers have tried to repair them but he doesnt know if its enough. He also mentions the lottery factory by sayin that if you come from a blind corner or crest and theres a stone on the road you just simply cant ignore it.

For Friday
Forecasts are still giving rain for tomorrow midday. Possibly already starting during SS4, and ending before SS5 starts, but of course leaving the roads damp.
Mikkelsen nearly rolled 3 times due to the ruts according to parcferme.no
Fun stat while waiting for SSS:
Toyota has highest number of stage wins in every single rally this season. Only in Argentina and Sardinia Hyundai matched the number.
In total it's 91 vs 58.

I see there is only one 2wd car starting.... That's not going to be an easy wknd!
that was weird from Ott, like on road mode compared to others
Ott is turning into a bit of a moody princess thesedays with his persona and stage end comments. Not like he'll care about that, or what others think if he lands a title though...
Totally ok from Ott's side.. +3-4secs from SSS is nothing if you think that, friday is more than saturday and sunday together..
agreed, he has been like that since Finland IMO, dont know what has happened...for me it seems he is just sick of all the same questions, yesterday two estonian reporters asked exactly the same what Emyr just asked. He doesnt like interviews at all anyway :D
and during Rally Germany some rumours rose that he and Martin dont get along anymore but those are just unconfirmed rumours so far.
Put yourself in a situation, where you lead the WDC and everybody keep asking same questions over and over again.. You have to keep calm and maybe seem rude or whatever..

My reaction to the stage as well.
Well, no...drivers are drivers, not entertainers and PR persons. Dumb questions deserve dumb/straight answers. Be it Tänak, Neuville "i would have won, if...", moody Ogier, or some local quy in his local championship. They can do it, they have the right to do it and it spices things up.
So this really sounds like a problem of modern era snowflakes...
With road position advantage etc, does anyone genuinely think we could get one of Mikkelsen, Latvala, Suninen or Lappi winning this?
I have Ogier favourite and it's always hard to look past the top 3, but I stuck a cheeky fiver on Mikkelsen as his odds were pretty decent at 11/1. If the first loop stays dry and it cleans a lot, I'd like to see at least one of those 4 make a push and challenge for victory. Sordo has great road position and car as well, but with him not being here last year I doubt he can fight for victory. Should be yet another interesting rally nonetheless.
