So has anyone worked out a decent comparison between ERC and Italian times. How did Kalle compare for example?

So has anyone worked out a decent comparison between ERC and Italian times. How did Kalle compare for example?
For sure they played a role.
For what it's worth, Campedelli and Scandola were generally slightly quicker than the leading ERC crews. Rovanpera was a bit further back, but I expect a different story in Latviia..
It would have been a better competition and easier to compare times if all crews had run together as they do on other ERC rounds.

Like watching it live, only one day late..
Nice to see Kajto pushing more on this rally, a champions drive one might say.
How are Leg points in ERC? 7 points for fastest driver, 6 points for 2nd?
So, Huttunen has now 106 points and from Latvia he can score maximum 39 points = 145 points in total.
Ingram has 115 points. If Huttunen leads all the way and wins in Latvia and Ingram stays second all the time, he get 18+6+6 points = 145 points in total.
Both would have 2 victories, but Huttunen would have 2x 2nd places whereas Ingram would have only one. And there is a slight chance Ingram could be the faster driver too...
And let's not forget that neither of Opel drivers is currently the championship leader. It's Mares. In theory Zawada has a chance for the title too.
And this is rallying, so anything can happen.
Yes, your calculations are right. Standings for all classifications have just been updated on the official website:

I was very curious about it, so I made a small comparison of stage times for both championships. In general top 3 drivers from Italian championship (Campedelli, Scandola and Crugnola) were slightly faster than ERC drivers. Only on SS4 and SS5 Lukyanuk was faster than all the Italians.
Kalle Rovanpera was slower than top ERC drivers (Bouffier, Kajetanowicz and Lukyanuk) on nearly every stage.
Comparison between stage winners in ERC and CIR:
SS1 Gryazin 1:47.9, Scandola 1:46.0
SS2 Lukyanuk 8:21.7, Crugnola 8:20.4
SS3 Bouffier 15:09.5, Crugnola 14:52.6
SS4 Lukyanuk 7:34.8, Campedelli 7:44.0
SS5 Lukyanuk 8:17.2, Scandola 8:24.0
SS6 Bouffier 15:14.7, stage canceled for Italian championship
SS7 Kajto 21:15.4, Campedelli 21:07.2
SS8 Kajto 5:12.9, Scandola 5:06.9
SS9 Kajto 6:45.1, Campedelli 6:37.2
SS10 Bouffier 20:26.7, Campedelli 20:13.1
SS11 Suarez 5:02.2, Andreucci 5'00.6
SS12 Bouffier 6:38.1, Campedelli 6'35.4
Colin McRae flat out trophy for Filip Mareš :)
Nice summary video from Lotos Rally Team. It's good to see Kajto happy again :)

Please, dont compare ERC and CIR times. Drivers in both fields were driving under different conditions. For example CIR crews had 3 runs on recce, different tyre limits and was driving at least 1 hour later than main field (especially with quickly changing weather it was completely different conditions)...
It's in Czech. Direct copy from interview with Luboš Vlček, executive director for sales and marketing in Czech Republic:

A co budoucnost Škody v rallye? Neohrozí ji případný projekt R5 od Volkswagenu?
My máme v rallye obrovskou tradici a nemyslím si, že by ji ostatní značky koncernu měly nějakým způsobem ovlivnit. A byli bychom velmi rádi, když by se ve spolupráci s českým autoklubem podařilo vytvořit program pro přípravu mladých talentů.
I believed that if it was written, it was told. But this words are against all things which Skoda did in last years. Despite big effort of federation to find any agreement with Skoda...
i see to the final results 40 sec penalty to Gryazin.Do we know what for.
Late from service before SS5. If I remember he had problems with gearbox or differential before.
Good decision! In the meantime Jari Huttunen tries to understand why he was slower and he can't :
