Pluto, you are not accurate. SRT has 4WD cars here on Azores, but they own Pugs 208 R2 (Oliver Solberg drove one at Rally Sarma).

Simply...They can manage cooperation with some young (probably baltic) driver who will attend ERC U27 (and maybe it is their plan) or somebody in ERC3 under SRT. Moreover they don´t need to own the R2 car necessarily. They need only somebody who will be written on paper as part of SRT team. Like the team Botka-Tlustak-Kupec. Skipping first round of the year doesn´t mean anything.
Amazing entry list! Congrats to Azores Rally organizers and Europsort for all their promotional work. Also, the U28 was a fine move to revamp the series. Well done!
It could have been even better but TER was successful in lobbying among many drivers.

Yes, it is usual "exception" made for WRC. It started few years ago, when one manufacturer driver started (I dont know the reason) with exotic licence. And they wanted to have his original flag there...Quote:
