I have some cousins in New Brunswick and on Facebook they have been posting similar things. As well as pictures from their home and the snow piling up.
Hope you get some spring soon Schmenke, Bagwan and co.
Here in the east of England today we have had high levels of pollution today, drifting from the south and east.
Its been very warm (20 degrees) over the last week or so, and we have a dust cloud of Sahara dust over us too, so the cars are all filthy.
Better than snow though.
Quite typical April weather the past week, both sunny and rainy days.
The difference between the warmest and coldest temperature in Sweden the past weeks is 43 degrees difference.
The warmest temperature measured the past week is 18 degrees C and the coldest is -25 degrees C.
The weather is a little chilly today here , and that's a big relief .
We had a deep winter , and the last few days were in the high teens , with rain thrown in , just to add to the pain .
I spent yesterday in chest waders , wandering around my basement in water just under 3 feet deep , trying desperately to save treasures like family photo albums , now spread around my home on every flat surface .
Of course , the basement was set well for the level of the last flood , about 6 years ago now , but this one is more than a foot higher , so much of the bottom shelves and contents are now floating or sinking , making moving around in the swirl of precious detritus a little treacherous , to say the least .
It's a little heart breaking , finding little reminders of yours and your family's lives floating by , ruined , but I guess mother nature decided it was time to purge ourselves of a few things .
We saved lots of stuff .
I just hope we can see the river recede before too long , so I can maybe save more .
Floods suck . They really do .
We have our first real autumnal day. There is a strong warmish North-Westerly bringing in plenty of rain. It is expected to swing to the South this afternoon, effectively bring the rain that has just passed overhead back for another go.
Was pretty sunny here today and temps around 10 degrees.
However i saw this tweet from Toronto:
Quote:
Seriously,Toronto not get the memo? SNOW? So distraught I can't even bring myself to make a 'playoffs/golf' joke.

Quite facinating that a city that is "much" further south then where I live (42N versus 58N) still is having winter while over here
the spring has really swept in all over the country. Lots if migrating birds have already returned from their winter quarters and etc.
Well, after several days of relatively spring-like weater it's now snowing hard with accumulation warnings in the mountaints just to the west of the city :s
Have the day off on Friday, and the kids are off school, so we'll make the most of it and head for the hills :D .
Madrid 26C, all green after the rains earlier in the month...
in fact it's been like this all week :bandit:
perfect Spring weather, with a bit of snow on the mountains still if anyone yearns the cold :D
I thought I'd give you all an update on our flooding here , since you asked .
The water is going down , about a foot and a half so far .
It's still over rubber boot height , and I've had enough time in waders , so I'm waiting for a little more drop before gong into the basement to see the carnage again .
Tomorrow morning begins the task of washing river silt .
Today weather: partially cloudy and about +14 degrees Celsius.
The water's gone now .
I was kinda hoping we'd catch a few bass in the flood , but no luck .
In the last flood , in '08 , we caught a muskrat . Poor little guy was scratching at the window trying to get out , until we showed him the hole in the floor to get out .
Gonna order some wood for some shelving to hang from the ceiling in the space , well above even this year's high water mark .
And , I am getting ready for a few dump runs .
Yesterday and today's am was grey and rainy but "I can see clearly now the rain is gone,
It's gonna be a bright (bright) bright (bright) sunshinin' day.. " http://i.imgur.com/j2UGFVV.jpg
Once again a horrible rainy day ruining the Easter midnight celebration.
The traditional visit to the cemetery will be spoilt by mud.......
Yesterday AM very very foggy, then around noon the fog cleared and the rest of the day was sunny with temps around +15C.
Today sunny all day and around +15-16C when it was as warmest.
Warm and sunny yersterday (around 18-20 degrees C). The same weather is expected for today.
Our spring came and went during the last two days. Winter will be back tomorrow :s

Unseasonably warm in S.D. today with a high of 95F.
Terrible rain this evening followed by a spectacular rainbow.
The hail in Bucharest ( fortunately not on my street) made the city look like in winter.

Dang, that is a lot of hail gurl!!
Crazy stupid weather :dozey:

(I'd upload some pics if I knew how... )
A cold front is coming through today and summer may be finally over. The migrating geese turned up three weeks ago so I think winter's coming sooner than people expect.

Amazing
How rare is snow in your parts in September? I mean you obviously have bad winters (compared to us UK softy's) but I assume its rare to see snow this early.
A few flakes in late September wouldn’t be uncommon, but over 15cm in mid-month is rare.
The problem with this much snow is that the leaves are still on the trees, which when combined with the weight of the wet snow, cause branches to break, and even trees to topple. Despite much of the snow now melted, the streets are littered with branches and broken trees, and some neighbourhoods are still without electricity due to downed power lines.
7 deg. C here today but it's supposed to warm up to 20C by next week :mark:
Normal here for this time of year. Pleasant 28 Celsius today with a really lovely Spring evening now :)
Why not, it's lovely here. We have 9 months of winter and three months of bad skiing :p: .
 sounds like Hell with air conditioning to me
