Unless they play again the trick they did for Rallye du Mont-Blanc
Next round of french gravel championship this week-end, the Terre des Cardabelles :)
This coming week-end at rallye Ronde Montbrisonnaise there will be the second Ford Focus WRC ever in a french rally, driven by Frédéric Romeyer(the first one runs in gravel championship with Laurent Carbonaro at the wheels)
His main opponent will be David Salanon in a whale...
What's next about Mr Snobeck?

Question to Belgians: is Dimitri Bruyneel(running in a Saxo T4 here at Cardabelles)from Dominique's family ???
@Tom: Yes Tom. Wim_Impreza told me that Dimitri Bruyneel is the son of Dominique Bruyneel. It is only his first year in rally and it will be his second rally in the French Gravel championship this year with this car. He is only there to learn and to finish the rally.

After 8 stages of Terre des Cardabelles Cuoq is flying in front(everybody expected it I guess, even in an "older" car ;) ), first Belgian Dominique Bruyneel is 2nd overall(and soon should be "french gravel champion") ahead of Laurent Carbonaro...
Disaster for other Belgians though...Colsoul off, Chérain mechanical problem, Lhonnay not at the start(forfait), Munster puncture(10th overall),... :mark:
First victory on a rally today for Bruno Longépé's new and unique Peugeot 406 Coupé(at the rallye du Sillon)
He tried several time last year and this year to run with it, but had always mechanical problems forcing him to retire...so huge improvement :mark:
Next outing for Bruno and his new toy next week during the Rallye des Côtes du Tarn ;)
Photos/videos/information of that car?
First time I've heard about a 406 in a rally. Looks nice:

I heard that Brice Tirabassi would do Rally du Var with Subaru S14 .....

I didn't know that this car is homologated..
Thanks, Tom.
Barreis: It's national F2000 class ;)
Thanks for info..
A few videos of Rallye Vignoble de Sèvre et Maine of this year(Longépé was fighting with Bézinaud's BMW for the lead until engine of the 406 broke on last stage) :D

You can easily hear the engine of the 406 comes from a Kit-car(Xsara or 306)...magic sound :bounce:
Well known IRC driver Nicolas Vouilloz could start the Critérium des Cévennes(8-10th november), penultimate round of french tarmac championship in a 207 S2000(rumour only for now) :)
Nicolas Vouilloz will run this week-end Rallye des Monts Dôme(held in center of France - rally in mountains)in a rent 207 S2000 in order to prepare Criterium des Cevennes penultimate round of french tarmac championship :)
Victory won't be easy for him, as one of his main contenders will be Ludovic Gal running in a whale(Wrcs engines are known to be better than S2000 ones with more torque/turbo in mountain roads) ;)
This coming week-end is the Finale de la Coupe de France des Rallyes, held this year around Dunkerque(northern France, not far from Belgium and even UK) :)
News and entrylist(liste des engagés in french)on http://www.finaledesrallyes2009.com/
S2000s and WRCs are forbidden on such events, don't expect finding any of them :mark:
Edit: direct link to entrylist :p :

Didier Auriol as "00 car" driver in a 206 WRC(rent in Italy)at the Criterium des Cévennes :D
I'm going to visit that event. A lot of nice cars on the entry list, hopefully they will be driven in anger.Quote:

Craziest rumour ever !!!!! Mikko Hirvonen could run Rallye du Var, last round of french tarmac championship, against Sébastien Loeb(both in their WRCs of course)
If it's true, one word: FANTASTIC :D
Another rumour, polish F1 driver Robert Kubica could debute his Skoda Fabia WRC there too...
I have problem to believe these, though, but... :mark:
To follow the Finale(first leg tomorrow evening) http://www.patricksoft.fr/ ;)
Yet another spectacular news for Var:
The debut of the new Twingo R2,of course with Jean Ragnotti at the wheel ;)

Retirement for Daniel Forès in his 306 Maxi, the third of last year. He was very slow this rally, probably he had since the begin mechanical problems.
