Yep...not a very exciting entrylist though :mark:
But fight for overall victory should still be tight :)

Maurin will drive completely new Fabia from Skoda Rally Team Italia (second car).
Rumours in UK Motorsport press say that Skoda Italy are paying for Kopecky's appearance in Sanremo, and thus Skoda now have the budget for Asturias.
That sounds a bit strange to me.
It's the same car that he is driving this weekend at Mont Blanc?Quote:

Me too, but that is what it says!Quote:

In the placement of equipment in the service park, does not appear Team P.Burgo (Evo IX) or Team S.L.Fombona (Nissan 350 GT)

This goes from bad to worse
It is Skoda Spain who are paying for Kopecky's start in Asturias:

No pics of cars being prepared for the rally yet ???
The weather will be sunny and hot, although the first stages of the morning may have some treacherous damp.
Good Luck to all drivers
For those that have been to previous Asturias events what other event can it be compared too? Is it as specialised as Acores or more of a Corsica type of rally? Or something else?
I slept too long and wasn't able to do my pickem. Let's see where I arrive now...
Shakedown results are online:http://www.masrallye.com/principeast...online/sk.html
Interesting, Hevia in the Fabia fastest so far by 2.7, followed by Meeke.
Skoda 1-2 so far, Hevia doesn't surprise me, he is fast and very spectacular!
Now Hervia and Meeke separated by 0.6 secs.
Pluto said after recce that the long stages are beautiful, twisty, often narrow, sometimes wide, different types of tarmac of various quality. No circuit-like terrain. He said that short stages are worse than those long ones also in quality.Quote:

Bring on tomorrow's action :bounce:

We were in shakedown this morning, before doing some recce for the stages. The stages are almost the same as last year, only the first stage is reversed. In shakedown i was surprised by the pace of Hevia to be honoust. His first run wasn't that good, but the other ones were really fast. You can see by eye that the Skoda's has the better power, they are pushing like hell. Meeke was really clean on all of his runs, on the other hand Kopecky was all over the place. I think Vouilloz did only three runs, but his times were not that bad. Loix changed suspension a few times and wasn't that bad either. On the other hand Gardemeister and Wilks weren't quick at all, especially the cars doesn't show much power. Basso is quite willing but i think Abarth is down on power. We will see tomorrow on the stages if the situation will remain the same as shown on today's shakedown. Personally i think this shake isn't that representative of the stages. They are far more twisty than the shakedown, so we will see tomorrow. :)
I really look forward what Corsa S2000 MSD can do against works teams..
Nothing. Still going to be 1 - 1.5 secs a km off the pace. Next season will be useful for the team if development, especially power wise, can progress.Quote:
