In the future, maybe. For 2009 it looks like there will be more paid drivers in IRC than WRC.

Proton might be a good move for PGA. If there is a chance they will become a works team in the future it might be wise to get a foot in the door. If he goes well on Monte he will do his name some good, if it doesn't go so well I don't think it would reflect that badly on him.
