mmm not a good experience- mine was the opposite way round, I had NTL cable for about 5 years (wasn't able to have a sat dish on the flat) and it was an unremittingly awful experience- cable TV would freeze or not work at all, never could get to customer service to report a fault, they cut off the phone service because they'd lost a payment and when I moved house I resorted to cancelling all my direct debits with them because I knew I couldn't trust them to close the account down (correctly as it turned out)-

Telewest were much much better than NTL but the channels I wanted- Motors TV and SKy Sports Extra (for tennis coverage) and now Setanta Ireland are only available on Sky- so I switched when I moved house again- my installation was done on the day I wanted and have been happy with the service ever since- I have cable broadband internet and phone and that's fine, but would never have cable TV again

Have NASN officially confirmed they are covering Nascar in 2008? Ive kept my setanta subscription going during the off season for horse racing and premiership football,if theres no nascar though i will cancel it.

I would say no on the basis that NASCAR 2008 isnt mentioned on the NASN website

reading through all those, you have to say these big companies are so shoddy - all of them. Don't give a toss, can't sort the cash, and even less done on the technology. Makes you wonder how they stay in business.

Since many events are shown on Setanta Sports ireland, Virgin should include that as part of their Setanta Sports pack, its only fair if people are asked to pay £15 a month to get Setanta Sports.

I think that Setanta is putting NASCAR on SS ireland is because Setanta does not want to show Italian football on SSireland on Sunday nights. Putting the NACAR on SS Ireland forces irish customers to trade up to the full Setanta Sports package.

Hi Julian,I sometimes watch Nascar for zstream and anyone that is streaming.Does it recorded these or are the preset i.e Tvu and Sopcast

Well I have several races recorded on SopCast from last season, as it has its own inbuilt recorder anyway!
On the downside, live races seemed to disappear after the NHIS chase race... :(
