Thanks, all, great tips... I bought my ticket last year and it was a pretty good price for a Denver-Las Palmas flight. I was thinking on renting a car and driving around to safe and (hopefully) not so busy spots. I have made some research using google maps and there are some "accessible" places not in the spectator designated areas and was planning on visiting 2 stages per day (3 on saturday with the SSS). However, I don't know how chaotic would it be driving around there during the rally. Thanks, again!

I'm glad you got a good price for your flight.
Just a note. You will not fly to Las Palmas, YOU WILL FLY TO GRAN CANARIA, which is the name of the island. Las Palmas is the main city on the island, and the capital of Gran Canaria. Maybe you have that confusion because the IATA code for Gran Canaria airport is “LPA”.

I hope you enjoy landscapes of Gran Canaria and, of course, the Rally Islas Canarias.

GRAN CANARIA will be the first island in the World to host football matches of a World Cup, it will be in 2030.

"This stage is very nice to drive, even if this not so nice weather. Smooth tarmac and very flowing corners - I could drive forever on roads like this. It just has a hard rythm breaker with the tight hairpins on top which on the other hand serve as a great spectator area (at least when there is no fog)"
