I can't help but think that the plan all along was to bring Selanne in mid-way in the season to ensure a playoff spot for the Ducks :mark:

Anyways, it's good to see him back although I think it'll be a a couple of weeks before we actually see him on the bench.

Back in September I took a chance on Selanne and picked him in my pool :D . I then dropped him in our 30-game redraft in December (and picked up Mike Richards :up: ). We have our second redraft coming up, and since I may be picking first (don't laugh :mad: ), I may get to pick up Selanne again :D

Who knows really ?

I think had had his coat totally empty after finally winning Stanley Cup and wasn't really sure if he wanted to play anymore. Finnish athletics has this weird fashion novadays to retire on absolute top, like Marcus Grönholm in WRC.

But when teemu saw Scott niedermeyer coming back on ice, maybe he thought they can win the Cup again ??

But I way too glad to see him back to worry about the reasons anymore :D

The other theory is that he is leaving Anaheim for another team. The Ducks bring him into the lineup and have him play a few games before trading him just before the deadline...

There is only one team in NHL where Teemu will play and that is Ducks.

think of the return... the leafs are going no where so let him contend for a cup.. I love Mats but this teams is just a tragity leafs need some prospects... just blow up the team but keep Kabs and the youth and Toskala...

Does`nt he have a no-trade clause? In any case I have heard he does not want to be traded, even though TML is really sucking at the moment.

that is true.. theres a good chance he won't waive it but we'll see.. If he doesnt I 100% understand and respect him for doing it.. if thats the case we would have to unload JFJ's huge arse contracts.. IE: Kubina,McCabe,Blake,Tucker,Gill ect but on a same token keep our core of youth intact and build upon it..

12 years ago Teemu played his first game with Ducks against Islanders. Tonite it's the comeback. Selänne should be in roster against NYI. Ducks need a sniper and hopefully Teemu is on fire :hot:

Just wanted to post something with regard to Florida Panthers RW Richard Zednik who suffered a horrible neck injury against the Buffalo Sabres the other day. One of his main arteries was cut accidentally by the blade of Panthers captain Olli Jokinen when Jokinen fell down after a check.

Zednik skated to the bench under his own power, and then was rushed to hospital. It was announced about 10 minutes after the incident that Zednik was in a stable condition.

He will be out for probably at least a couple of months, however it is speculated that he will be able to return for the playoffs should the Cats make it.

I wish him, his family and his teammates well after this frightening accident.
