Impreza WRC thread

The S9 in the picture is registered PR02 SRT an S8 that was written off by Nasser Al-Attiyah testing for the 2002 Troodos Rally in Cyprus. I think it's a parts bin special built by MSP. I'm sure I saw it on their website a while back now.

Martin do you know the events that Derek McGarrity used the ex P2 WRC P100 ALL car on. I know he used it on the 2000 West Cork Rally and thats it. Do you know who he sold it to.

From what I remember of P2WRC I think DMG used it in Bishopscourt and then Maurice Gass used it as 00 car in Kilbroney (maybe) before Steve Fleck had it (he started Cork 20 2002 in it) then Noel Redmond, Brian McCluskey and Gerrard Moroney all used P2. I thought it had gone to Martin O Connell in 2005

P100ALL is this the same car??? I have a pic here of DMG in that car in Punchestown rally masters 01

As far as I remember DMG did Bishopscourt 03 and won the rally in this car in LHD and Nasser may have won Qatar 03 in the car.

Paddy bought the car after that rally, Paddy did Donegal in it as X7 and it was RHD at this stage. On the Manx I think it was X40? or certainly it changed to X40 after the rally which I was told at the time was from a car written off in France? Paddy did the local ALMC rally and Ulster and Cork in the car.

It was upgreaded to S8 spec over the winter and Paddy did Galway and West Cork in it as X40 before it was sold (Paddy got TM02SRT) to the late Tony Davies, he used it on Donegal, Jim Clark (where I think it wouldnt re start in parc ferme for day 2 master switch prob) Manx and Wexford (I think Pat Walsh sat with him for Wexford???? or maybe he was with Tim Wilson?) Tony did Cork 20 in the car before it went to Charlie Payne

Anyway as far as I know Sean Gallagher had done a deal to buy the car in trade for R20 before it was burnt out in an accident on Stonethrowers 05.

Martin they are different cars P2 WRC is a re-registered R8 WRC and P100 ALL is what the original P2 WRC was re-registered as. Any chance of posting up the picture of McGarrity at Punchestown?

Last I heard X23 SRT was being used by Joan Olle in the Catalunyan Tarmac Rally Championship.

Mark van Eldik's MenM rally team bought another S12, the ET55 SRT. Jan de Winkel drove the car in the (dutch) Hellendoorn rally this weekend.

What do the S9, S10, S11, S12 designators mean? I know I have a MY2003 Impreza, which roughly maps to a S9-S11 Impreza.
