Finally ss10 much clearer in first half, still lots of ice and crap pulled out in cuts in 2nd half. Will be run @ sundown - big challenge.
Seb Marshall @sebmarshall
Stage 8, slightly warmer - now only -6C. Clear of snow / definite line through it on 70% of stage, final few km still covered.
It is not possible to put studs back on the tyre.Quote:

Yes, he said that already yesterdayQuote:

JML struggling again ... 10 sec off team-mate Ogier this stage.
Novikov over-cautious on the tarmac to save the tyres - will push on the next stage. :)
It`s called charisma, and Ogier has lots of it! :)Quote:

In this case, it's surely a sensible attitude to have, isn't it? After all, Loeb isn't doing the full season, so — unless that changes — why should he care about him?Quote:

My God..... What a load of BS...... Although I admire Loeb he always was much more arrogant between the lines, Im surprised most of you dont see this. What did you expect?! Ogier to beat Loeb in the first outing of the car?! If that happened it was pretty much cinfirmation Loeb was not that good.Quote:

Well said Ogier ! :)
SS8 (19,08km):
1 Loeb 13.10,1 - 2 Sordo +2,8 3 Ogier +8,4 - 4 Mikko +13,0 - 5 Nov +16,8 - 6 JML +20,0 - 7 Mads +24,7
I remember a "there is some justice in this sport" after Loeb picked up an puncture in Germany, two years ago. That guy must hate Loeb very much and it's not over yet. No one is driving an full year in an S2000 without a very good reason.Quote:

It's especially ridiculous when you can sense in his voice that he is in fact greatly disturbed by the fact that someone else is ahead of him.Quote:

That was pointed at Cit WRT management, not loeb personally!Quote:

It's interesting how divided opinions are regarding Seb O. However, the fact that he gives fairly comprehensive answers to questions asked and replied to, not in his native language, means that often his emphasis may be mistaken or those hearing him, especially those for whom english is also not their 1st language, may put their own interpretations to support their pre-conceptions. What he said is a long way from Je m'en balance (English equivalent, 'I don't give a monkey's') which would easily slip out if he were even mildly fed up with the line of question. What I heard was a matter of fact answer to a deliberately provocative question (all journos know the history). Nothing in what Seb O said can be interpreted as 'unsportsmanlike', brusque at worst.
If he survives it isn't that cold...
Seb Marshall @sebmarshall Some strange sights observed when out doing ice note crew, never as odd as this though! He must be a bit cold!!

240 km of stages left, very hard weather expected for last leg. More and more problems with tyres to come too.Quote:

It's bactrian camel, those are used to cold weather living in Kazakhstan, north India or China.Quote:
